Nashua 322 HVAC Multi-Purpose Foil Tape, 46m Length, 48 mm Width, Aluminum

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tape and its adhesion. I needed to seal a gap between a radiator and floor and I realize this might not be what this product is designed for but it worked! It even adhered to an uneven wooden floor and stayed stuck. I can now relax and not worry about bugs getting in and not feel the constant draft coming in, especially when the heat is off. If you live in a rental and are limited by what you can change in the apartment, or don't feel like asking the landlord to fix it and dedicate an entire day to that, then this is the perfect solution for minor repairs around your house. I didn't notice any sticky residue on the surface when removing the tape and it can be re-positioned. My only tip is to be careful when handling cutting it as it might slightly cut your skin if not careful.

It's easy to work with and sticks very well. I'm using it for sealing the edges of butyl rubber sound deadening in a van project. The edges of the material get messy and sticky unless you cover them with something. This foil tape works great for exactly that. Though it is very thin, and can tear easily by hand, once it's stuck down it seems durable enough to do the job. I'm buying more rolls for a bigger sound deadening job now.

If you're going to use tape on metal ducts, then this is what you want. It tears by hand relatively easily and is much thinker than the 3m tape, which is worthless in my opinion. Don't try using scissors to cut this. It is simply too sticky. it tears by hand just fine and works great. I suggest that you try red devil mastic on ducts before using tape. That seems to be faster and avoids some metal cuts on your fingers.

Overall, this product works pretty well and I would definitely recommend based on price alone. The only drawback, as some of the other reviewers mentioned, is this tape is not strong and may not keep your items taped down. I bought this tape to adhere a heat pad to my reptiles’ tanks. So far, it works well, but even after the first day I noticed some small tears in the tape. I will keep using it for my reptile tanks, but I wouldn’t trust it for household repairs. I would not buy this product if the materials you need to tape will put pressure on the tape. But if you’re taping “lighter” materials this tape is a good value and definitely gets the job done :)

Worked great, easy to cut and peel off paper backing, easy to work with (but like aluminum foil, just be careful not to press too hard into a crease or it will tear or split. Gently push it and don't use your nail, or it will tear). Worked perfectly and even used it to cover all the very sharp metal edges on the Ac/furnace, after they installed it. Used it to completely cover a rusty vent that was leaking hot /cold air into the basement. Now it's good and makes the heating/cooling more efficient. Note: It will not stick to silicone caulk of any kind.

Excellent quality, easy to rip off the roll by hand. Bonds very tightly to surfaces and to itself; the roll has a layer of non-stick paper to make it easy to peel the tape off (it would probably be impossible otherwise, as even incidental contact with other foil tape was very hard to undo - but that's a good sign of how long this tape's bond will last). NOTE: Foil tape has a very different application from most other types of tape. It is not intended for binding things together (shear force will rip the tape). Foil tape is intended to be used to wrap or cover wire, cables, holes or cracks in ductwork, etc. It conforms extremely well to corners and joints, and is far superior than duct tape for non-binding purposes.

This tape is very easy to rip. It works almost too well in that it is very sticky. I used it for the inside and outside of a dryer hose connection between a 3 inch exhaust pipe and a 4:3 inch adapter. A lot of tape for a great price. Happy to have made this purchase.

Used to repair a cut in a large a/c tube. Flexible and held up nicely.
