Worked great!
Used this with a microfiber cloth as a sweat / snot rag hanging from my backpack while hiking the JMT and AT.I figured I might get a few days out of it before it broke but it took plenty of pulling and snagging and dragging and never broke. I still have it and I'm going to use it again next year! I just used a hot nail to melt a hole in the microfiber and tied the one end on.
