Foscam Arm Mounting Bracket for Outdoor IP Cameras

The Foscam website said explicitly that this arm is compatible with the FI9802W model. It isn't. The two bolt holes do not line up correctly with the sockets on the camera. Foscam customer support said that the camera had changed recently, but we originally bought the camera in 2013. When does something like this change without a model number change? The arm is sturdier than the original cone mount and works ok with just one bolt, but we would have preferred the security of two bolts. We bought this as a replacement for the original cone mount on which the camera mounting bolt snapped spontaneously. Fortunately we had added an eye bolt in the top mounting socket and a safety chain so the camera didn't fall to the ground and smash when the bolt failed.

They get the job done, but they're kind of expensive for what they are. Also, some of the models have 3 screws on the bottom, and some only have two. So the F18905E for example, I have 3 and only 1 had the 3 holes in the bottom that is needed to attach to this mount. I got them on there using just one screw and tightened it really well, but for the price I feel that a direct fit should be expected.*Update: I recently purchased 3 more of these and they are not coming with the mounting screws anymore. The description says that they're still included, but they're not.

I recently bought a Foscam F19804W that has a similar looking mount that is great. It adjusts every which way. I have an older F18905W that has a terrible mount so I bought this one thinking it was the same as on my new camera. It's not. It is sturdier than my old one, but not nearly as adjustable as the new one. Also the holes don't match the layout of the old camera so I can only mount it to the camera with one screw. As my rating implies, it's ok, but not what I thought I was getting. At least the screws they supplied matched the screw holes on my camera.

This is a great bracket and should work well for recently purchased cameras. I happen to have an older POE camera that has a different body on it with a different hole spacing, so it doesn't fit out of the box. However, I like the mount so much that it is Dremel to the rescue. I'll order more in the future as I add additional cameras.

I have three of these now and am using none of them. Two came with my two cameras and I bought one extra thinking it was different than the one which came with each camera. My two cameras are mounted underneath overhangs using drop mounts, and this bracket simply cannot do that. There are other brackets available which do. So three useless mounting brackets at about $19 each is a big waste of my money.

This arm allowed me to mount my Foscam outdoor camera where I wanted. Been looking for a mount and this was it. Quality product.

I ended up returning this item unused because I couldn't get the camera that I bought with it to work and also returned the camera.

This product gets 5 stars because they are exactly what they are advertised to be. Unfortunately I did not need them. I ordered them with the Foscam FI9805W because the pictures of the FI9805W showed a different universal mounting arm.Just so there is no confusion:THESE ARE THE EXACT SAME MOUNTING ARMS THAT COME PACKAGED WITH THE FI9805W IP CAMERA.You do not need these mounting arms if you are purchasing the FI9805W.
