ProCap Wedge LITE

I like gear and gadgets in my kit and keep sprinkler wedges, and cherry bomb door chocks in my pockets. I bought several of these wedges as gifts for my crew last Christmas but not for myself. I'd seen the longer sharper aluminum wedges get destroyed and wasn't keen on having one tear holes in my pockets. The ProCap has a more blunt edge less prone to breaking (like a fire axe) , is shorter and the magnet is awesome on metal clad doors like the door props. Approach the door, drop the wedge underneath and kick it in to create space for your irons. Reset the wedge as needed to keep the space you've created and it is less obtrusive than an axe handle while you work your way around. It's a keeper!

We built a training forcible entry prop for our department. My Lt has a lot of cool tools. Well, during training he always says “you use what you have” & neither myself or my driver had any specialty tools besides what was on the engine. So, I purchased this tool to help gap the metal door and it works like a charm. We didn’t have to work nearly as hard to force the door & the magnet was heaven sent. Because I placed it on the metal door as we worked and grabbed it when I need to capture the progress we made.Overall, I’m very satisfied. It’s light in weight. Fits on my helmet. Took a good beating. & I’m excited to use for both training and real work incidents.

This is an good wedge I really like using it, but the only problem i have with it is the magnet you would think the developers would use a high quality magnet so breachers wouldn’t loose the wedge.

Great wedge for the price. Used it during a forcible entry training on a very tough door and it performed well. It was stuck many times and did not bend. The Rescue Wedge has a very acute tip and works well to make a purchase but bent under stress. This wedge did not.

Great for capturing progress during forcible entry and sticks to my helmet pretty well which keeps the wedge accessible!

Use it for work

This wedge is light and compact, perfect for helmet stowage. Smaller than a full size wedge without sacrificing much performance.
