This incense is a very fragrant blend that will be very familiar to Roman Catholics who attend traditional High Masses and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. The blend is exceptionally clean of debris that you wouldn't want to smell burning, such as bark, but it also contains shreds of clean inner wood that you DO want to smell. Cedar probably, and some other wood. I don't believe the description states all the ingredients, which would be nice but be assured that you will recognize the scents when you burn it. I light a candle and put some of the incense both under and over the quick lighting charcoal briquettes used in censers when I settle in for my rosary. Very meditative.

I pressure this item and I do like it does last more than 8 days. I would definitely buy again buy a beware buy them they're wonderful

Excellent!!! This is definitely the scent from church (checked with my parish). Make sure you use quick lighting Saltpeter charcoal rounds and a fire-safe censer or thurible. There are some good cheap ones out there, but stay away from “smokeless” censers. You WANT to burn the wood chips along with the Frankincense and Myrrh.Best value and quality for the price!

As a church sacristan with over 30 years experience using ecclesiastical incense I was very disappointed with this product. Pontifical Incense Incense 1lb - Christian Brands Church Supply $29.00 is not an unresonable price for a pound of decent incense, but upon opening the box I was surprised to find that much of the contents was wood shavings; not fragrant wood shavings, but rather the sort of thing you'd find in the waste receptacle of a pencil sharpener. When burned, using high quality Three Kings brand charcoal briquets, these wood shaving produced neither smoke nor fragrance. After spending about an hour picking the lumps of incense out of this worthless filler - I would estimate that the shavings made up at least half the volume of the box -I was left with about a cup and a half of what appeared to be incense. I thought perhaps this was not a total waste, but alas, I was wrong. While the resin lumps produced some smoke, it had no discernible fragrance, and is unsuitable for use either in church or in the home. Do not waste your money.

About 50 percent wood shavings

Smell very nice but not what I was looking for. They seem to be missing one crucial ingredient. The product should be pulverized better and smaller to help with consistent smell. Some pieces of resin are just too large.
