Good trimmer, light, easy to manage
I used it to trim down some ornamental grass and some flowering shrubs. Not a heavy tool and easy to manage. Very easy to assemble out of the box. Battery is small, hence the lighter weight. Battery just plugs into a regular socket, no separate charger. I think I used it for about a half an hour. Easy to use. Length is good for the type of basic trimming of shrubs I did from ground level at a reasonable height. The tool comes with a blade cover that's soft plastic, not much but it's something. The manufacturer recommends just plain old WD 40 to lubricate blades. Great not to have to use a cord. I like it. I would buy again.

Life changing
WHY HAVE I WASTED MY LIFE WITHOUT A HEDGE TRIMMER?!? I have never owned a hedge trimmer. I have 5 acres of yard and woods. I mostly kept up the past 22 years with hand trimmers and tons of time, but fell behind the past two years because of injuries. The invasive honeysuckle, florabunda roses, blackberries, grapevines and forsythia have taken over. I decided a hedge trimmer was my last chance - researched and bought this one because it was lighter weight (I am female, 54, on the small side, not that strong) had two safety points, and got good reviews from a tech site. This thing is amazing. I am in love. My forsythia had overgrown about ten feet tall and five feet wide, with large grapevines growing through it and onto the pine trees beside. It cut through it like butter - even the large canes and thumb-wide grapevine stems. Cut it down to 4ft tall in minutes. Cuts through large honeysuckle in seconds. Overhanging branches? No problem. Evil overgrown invasive roses - not a scratch on me. I don't know what the people who say it gets stuck are trying to cut - anything larger than what I'm going through would be a sapling. Though it did manage a few tiny saplings with no problem. Used it about 90 minutes (stopping and starting to rake) and battery was only down a bar. Because you have to hold it in two places, I never felt like I was going to cut off fingers or slice through my leg. It was easy to get the blades to stop. The con: Even lightweight is heavy. After 90 minutes with lots of starts and stops my arms are limp. I could lift it over my head for minutes at a time - but I will not be reclaiming my land in one morning. I've spent years on the fence about getting one of these and wish I'd had one 20 years ago. And this one does everything a person with acres of invasive bushes needs to keep them under control. I can't speak to durability - but it was worth the price just to cut that forsythia down to size and get my treeline under control so I can mow. I highly recommend.

Great for Lazy People
Here's my wife's review of this product: I bought this after reading the review here from the 68-year-old woman. I figured if she could use this, so could I. I'm in my 40s, but I'm lazy, short, and hate yardwork with a passion. I live on a little farm and I usually think that if I really want any greenery trimmed back, I can adopt a goat. But recently the path from my house to my barn and my driveway have both gotten pretty overgrown with blackberries and other bushes and trees. Not only do I not enjoy getting hit in the face with bushes, but the company that picks up our garbage told us we need to trim our driveway because they don't want their garbage truck to get scratched. And since I really don't have time for a goat right now, I figured I'd have to do some trimming. After gazing in despair at my manual clippers, I thought, "There's got to be a better way!" (yes, just like a dummy in an infomercial). So I did some research on Amazon and got this little number. I didn't want anything that was harder to operate than an electric toothbrush. I didn't want to deal with cords, or gasoline, or having to read instructions. I didn't want anything heavy or unweildy. This fit the bill perfectly. I charged up the battery, put on some safety goggles and went to town. This trimmer was so light and easy to use; you can switch directions and hands at will, and it cuts through bushes like butter. I even chopped through some pretty significant branches (thicker than 3/4 inches across) with no problems. I used it for 45 minutes and it didn't run out of charge. Whacking at things with this tool is actually really fun. So if you are: - Lazy - Short - Weak - Not into yardwork . . . but also: - Don't like getting hit in the face with bushes walking around in your own yard - Don't want to get yelled at for your bushes scratching someone's garbage truck - Are too busy to adopt your own goats . . . then this trimmer is for you! This would probably also work out just great for someone strong, tall, and motivated, but I can't speak to that from personal experience. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Product well made
Works great on small limbs but gets caught and stops on limbs up to 1/2 inch to inch. You have to work to get limb out of teeth safely. Well-made and does work great on small hedge limbs. Well-made but does not thru 1/2 inch or larger. Battery charges well and last.

This is what I wanted. It's light enough to come out at any time without worrying about getting tired from the heavy machinery. Reliable. Never ran out of battery juice in one hour. Basically, I quit first, before the battery needs to be recharged.

Be very careful buying this product as with all Workx products the battery is sold separately. So read the small print. Trying to find the battery and charger is quite difficult as you will see from the description there is no mention of the model reference to match the tool. When you manage to find the right battery and charger you will find that it is almost twice as expensive as the tool.. I would strongly recommend other products which provide the battery and charger with the power tool to avoid being ripped off.
