I read about the benefits of Rooibos a few years back. One of the beneifts is that it is an anti-inflamatory. I had such terrible pain in my upper back from an operation I had 15 years ago. The doctor told me there was nothing that could be done as I still have staples inside my chest, and I would feel pain from time-to-time. The pain got so bad I just wanted to die (I refuse to take any kind of pain medication). Then I stumbled upon an article on AOL about foods that help fight inflamation, and the last one was Rooibos. I purchased some Rooibos and tried it when I was in excurciating pain. Within two hours the pain had subsided. I now drink at least one cup of this tea a day. Although I still slight pain now and then I have not the kind of pain that made me want to find the nearest bridge in years. I owe this all to Rooibos. And, yes, I experimented in the beginning to see if Rooibos was really the reason, and would stop using it for a few days. The terrible pain did come back, and go away again when I drank the tea. Perhaps it will not help everyone, but it is worth a try. I will be using this tea for the reset of my life, and these K-Cups along with my brewer make it so easy to make.

Rooibos tea is definitely a departure from the mundane taste of black tea. It has a much different, though still very pleasant, taste than one might initially expect. It also has a very unique aroma and serves as an excellent complement to any good meal. The fact that it is naturally free of caffeine also means that it is great as an evening tea to calm the nerves and avoid the energy rush of caffeine-containing teas that could lead to difficulty getting to sleep. I must also say that, like other k-cup tea varieties, it is also well balanced and tastes similar to tea prepared in the customary manner. Overall, this is a very drinkable and, through the use of a k-cup, very convenient tea for seasoned tea drinkers and newcomers alike.

Rooibos tea has been used for centuries in South Africa. Not only does it taste really great, it is also good to help induce sleep AND it works to help calm an aching stomach and abdomen. Whenever me or my kids complain of that good ole *stomach ache*, I immediately brew them a cup. You can also reuse the Kcup a second time, and even a third though the third will be a little weak, making this a great bargain. Off topic of the Rooibos, the mint tea can also be used twice in the machine with very little difference in taste. Both can be used on the largest setting with no loss of taste. I highly recommend this tea both for it's lovely unique taste AND its medicinal properties. Enjoy!

Great product, have purchased multiple times. Great smell and flavor that is not overpowering.

My oldest daughter really likes this tea and seems to believe that it is better for her than a lot of other teas on the market. I like the fact that it is caffeine free and has a tea-like taste. I have been drinking Celestial Seasoning's Sleepy Time herbal tea at night when I want something hot to drink but it is a little light so I decided to try the African Rooiobos tea for myself. I like the flavor, it is a medium-bodied tea with a little bit of bite. My husband bought this Rooibos Red Tea and I had never heard of it. Well! I am delighted to say I simply love it. It is delightful and strong with a distinctive taste, I did not realize it was not from the tea leaf but a plant in Africa. Fabulous discovery from my lovely husband.
