Having just acquired my 3rd Shih Tzu, it has been several years since I have had a puppy, so I bought this book. It has given me some clear guidelines and some very interesting facts about caring for my puppy. I keep referring to it. My puppy has a tendency to get yeast ear infections. The book provides a remedy. It gives clear guidelines for training a puppy.

We’re considering adopting a Shih Tzu so bought this book to see what we might be getting ourselves into. The book was fantastic, loaded with lots of tips, and super easy to read. There’s no fluff, just the facts. We’re still months away from acquisition, so this handy guide has helped us assemble a plan to continue research as we look forward to adopting a new family member.

Doesn’t answer all my questions.

I actually ordered this book twice. Was going to send it back, but they refunded my card and told me I did not have to return the book. Will find someone else with Shih Tzu's and share it.

This book has a lot of good information in it in regards to how to train, groom, and show your Shih Tzu. It also has pertinent information about whether or not you want to buy this breed, how to choose a veterinarian, what kind of medical issues you may run into, etc. It is well worth the money. I have owned two Shih Tzus before this, had a lot of information about them, and still learned new, good information.

This is an ok guide on Shih Tzu dogs. It seems like any other guide book out there. Nothing really stood out to me. If you're a new dog owner or new to the Shih tzu breed, I would recommend this book.

Tells a lot

My sister's shih tzu was a gift. This book provided history on the dog and helped her understand her pet.

Very informative book and is quite well written. its all about Shih Tzu. The book however looks like a pirated version (I might be wrong) but the content is good. If you have a Shih Zu (puppy/adult), this book is a must have 😊

Great way to understand your pooch

What a jolly good read. I am a proud 'granny' of a little Shih Tzu, my granddaughter has just been bought one for her pet. I am a very hands on with my grandpup, so I needed some great advice. This book has sorted me and educated me on the right path to puppy sitting. We are getting on famously and Rosie must think I am a very knowledgeable 'Gran'. She is so intelligent and proud (she has ancestry of a Palace dog after all), just like the book explained. She is now fully house trained, she is now clean. The training chapters are very good, tricks come natural to her, she loves being a little star and being told she is fabulous Those big eyes are so adorable, her expressions are unbelievable. What fun we have. Thank you Alex Seymour for an invaluable book of education and insight into the Shih Tzu (She zoo) breed.
