Yes this has an adhesive border. These stick very well and please remove it carefully. I truly like the Medline optifoam Gentle with silicone border much better. Item # MSC2044EP. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

Q: Is the center sticky?

The center is a little sticky but it does not adhere enough to make u uncomfortable or cause any pain. I've used this numerous times on my husband and never any problems removing from skin. I highly recommend this product

I suggest that you use DuoDerm CGF if he has no open wounds.

I just looked at the package I have, and it has SA on it, which could mean Super Absorbent Core ( for a sore still seeping)
