I wish I’d found this before I found the Pelikan Twist…
Just to provide a bit of background, I’m a long-term fountain pen user, I have several of them, and I’m left-handed. I very recently purchased a Pelikan Twist fountain pen but, cutting a long story short, the ergonomic moulding of the grip section meant it didn’t suit me (I submitted a review if anyone wants to know the details). However, I was impressed by the way the pen performed, so I wondered whether Pelikan produced one that was more to my taste. Enter the Pelikan Style, and I now wish I had found that before I found the Twist. The Pelikan Style ticks all the boxes for me, even though I’m guessing it’s principally designed to attract people who are just starting out with a fountain pen (which is most definitely not the case with me). It has a rugged appearance, which might not appeal to everyone but it does to me, and seems to be very well constructed. The ‘feel’ of it is hard to describe, as it’s solid but feels soft to the touch. It’s very light, and if I wanted to be picky I could say that I would prefer it to have a little more weight, but everything else is so good I can’t fault it for that. The clip looks as though it would work well, but my pens are never in a pocket so I can’t comment on that. The nib is a medium, and it writes very smoothly with good even ink flow - it doesn’t dry up for a few milliseconds from time to time so you don’t have small gaps in your writing, and it doesn’t ‘blob’. And most importantly for me, the grip section is round so you can hold the pen in whatever manner gets the nib on the page at the right angle for you (the Twist tries to force you to grip in a certain way, which was all wrong for me). As mentioned above, I’m left-handed, but that causes no problems at all, at least not for me. I know that some left-handers are most comfortable when folding their left arm across the top of the page and downwards onto the line they are writing, so that they end up pulling the pen across the page as a right-hander would instead of pushing it. But I write with my hand below the writing line, and the Style performed perfectly for me. It takes international standard cartridges, either large or small (it came with one large one containing blue ink), and I believe it will also take a standard converter, though I haven’t tried that. Oh, I should perhaps mention that the one I ordered from Amazon was described as yellow, even though the accompanying picture showed a green one. The pen that came was green, which in actual fact I prefer, though I wouldn’t have sent it back even if it had been yellow. I’ve since ordered two more in different colours, because I don’t like continually changing the colour of ink in a single pen. When they come I will have a pen for each colour I use, which is very affordable when the pens sell at their current price point. Even though these pens were probably designed to attract younger users, I would say even long-term fountain pen users would find them an excellent addition to their collections.

Nice design. Feels good to use and writes very well.Very Lamy with the box nib but that`s not a problem.I did order a converter but the one I got looked like a Cross one and did not work very well. I would have been happy to give this pen a solid 3 stars but I found a lovely surprise - Reverse writing. This pen writes better handled upside down. Nice fine line with a solid ink flow. For that I went to 4 Stars.

Brill, a real Pelikan at entry level price......of course it is not as good as their top end bespoke stuff but I...love it.....
Very happy, can get my hear around the fact that the world class pen maker has put their name on an entry level divce, They have done it in style, great quality at the price, nice medium nib works well, been admired, and have ordered 2 since.

A great cheap founbtain pen
I have a good number of fountain pens both PeliKan and others. For a sub £20 instrument I can't fault it.

Nice pen but not perfect
It writes really well, but the barrel comes apart when used, which is really annoying.

This product is not a classic design but a cheap looking one. Also there is a serious flaw in the feed system. No cartridge or converter is suitable for this pen. Even Pelikan Converter is not suitable. It cannot be used as eye dropper pen as well . I am wondering as to what to do with this pen.

FANTASTIC! Pelikan has made yet another perfect student everyday writer pen! This vibrant neon green and black pen model is sleek, modern, and practical. It comes with a brand UPC # sticker on the back of the cap for proof that it's brand new and authentic, and as a collector I keep those on for sure as it increases it's value later on. It came in a small Pelikan cardboard box specifically designed for the model, and also a large sized proprietary blue ink cartridge so you can start writing immediately. The word that keeps coming back to me every time I look at this pen is "SLEEK," as it exudes a gracefulness in its design, from the bright neon green lines going up and down the pen (popping out all the more against the solid black contrasting hue) to the streamlined clip and elongated ink window on the barrel's mid-section, this is a stylish & attractive fountain pen from a renowned German brand I humbly believe is one of the top best pen manufacturers in the world! The medium nib is extremely smooth, with a wonderful easy ink flow so that you can snap off your cap and start writing every time without issue. The silver toned nib has the pelikan logo etched on its middle and the nib size is located right underneath. I really love how they embossed the Pelikan logo in white on the top finial in bold detail so it stands out, screaming "perfection" to all fountain pen enthusiasts who see it! This pen is chunky and thick, very durable for on the go and travel, especially as they've included a protective cap guard within the cap so your nib remains extra safe while out & about. This model is perfect for both beginners and collectors alike, with its standard nib size and the comfortable ergonomic fingergrip designed to help with writing fatigue; it has two soft matte black panels on either side that are incredibly comfy while writing and Pelikan included an attractive black lines motif along the bottom of the section that connect to the fingergrip panels, adding yet another stylish motif that provides a modern vibe. Overall, it's clear the brand paid attention to detail and worked hard to design a new "student pen" to their line that would appeal to modern writers of all kinds. It's a fun, attractive and collectible fountain pen that I highly recommend! I really want to buy the pink version next, as these are perfect writers and it's another one of my favorite colors (I just wish sellers wouldn't charge triple the price for that color - I'm waiting to find an honest seller to buy the pink version since on here they are trying to drastically overcharge when they shouldn't).
