New, Cookbooks for treats and everyday foods for everyone’s collection.
I guess that if anything is true, I have learned that cooking is not easy for a person like me. I didn’t learn how to cook while growing up; I was always outside working with my dad. My head under the hood of a big rig and fetching tools. My brothers hated working with him, and I was the only one that loved it. I did learn how to fend for myself with cars and almost anything else. My dad always said, “it was good to be a girl, but that girl needed to know how to be self-sufficient.” Well, I definitely am that, thanks to him. Oh, and he always made me wear gloves still to have soft hands WITHOUT grease under the nails!!! LOL, I have collected cookbooks to fix anything that I want. I love having digital ones; they don’t take up any space. Also, having a small family now that the kids and grandkids are grown, having a cookbook is the only way to make smaller portions.

Missing measurement for important ingredient.
Recipes for various fillings and toppings. The same recipe for the puff pastry eclair is repeated in each recipe. The instructions: step 1: add salt, butter and water into a saucepan. The ingredients do not list water, nor how much. I had to go to internet to find a similar recipe to find out how much water to use.

jUST TO BE CLEAR...
The mixture that is used to make eclairs is called pate a choux, NOT puff pastry. They are completely different.

Missing parts of directions
Started making the eclairs. The instructions and ingredients seemed ok. For the fillings and other stuff. Then got to a key point of making the actual eclair. Well they failed big time. It is guess work. Because they tell you to add water. And NOWHERE in the whole book. Does it give the amount of water. Had to make a guess and pray. Low and behold. I messed them up. Going to find a new book

Rubbish
Eclairs are choux pastry not puff for starters. Then everything is measured in cups and ounces. Who does that in a respectable recipe book nowadays? Same things are repeated on an on in different recipes (e.g. same chocolate glaze in at least 3 diff recipe). This book is just super annoying, big regret.
