Well, you can't see them all the way across the internet but let me tell you... it's fantastic.It's been a while since my old titanium hair straightener busted on me and passed on to the garbage bin so I decided to splurge and invest in this product. I knew about their customer service and that's mainly why I went with them in the first place.So I get this in the mail, bust it open and..! I leave it aside to collect dust on my shelf until a month or so later. My first impressions? So much frizz! Why can't it straighten? Did I just throw away my money? A part of me felt defeat before I gave up and left it alone for yet another month before I returned back to it. I decided that this time I was going to get the temperature right and give this product another try.I gave it another go and crossed my fingers. The result was this amazing straight hair without any burning smell. No static in sight, no frizz to be had. Nothing but smooth, silky, long hair.I'm sorry I doubted this product because in the end, I got way more than expected from it!

Look at my pics. They show how amazing this item truly is. One side of my head is my hair after blow drying without straightener. Other side of my head shows my hair after using this amazing device. AMAZING on thick and textured hair. Bought this and wasn't sure how it would work but hoped it was good for the price. It is worth every penny I paid. The smoothing effect is fantastic and it curls well too. There is no jerky motion where the plates don't slide well as has happened to me with previous irons. I teetered between getting the 1" and the 1 1/4" and ended up getting the 1 1/4". It was a great call!! I have been through probably 15 total straighteners in my life. Most carried high price tags, and this is by far the BEST I have ever owned. Worth the investment.

First, I have to say that this is a very well-made flat iron. The quality of the materials and the design are excellent. But, I returned it because it didn't work for my hair. Even at the highest temp, my hair turned out poofy and dry, not smooth, straight, and shiny. It may have to do with the ceramic plates (as opposed to titanium plates). If you have hair that straightens easily and you've had success with ceramic plates, this could be a good flat iron for you.The customer experience provided by Amazon was amazing. When I ordered the flat iron, it arrived the same day (on a Saturday). The return and refund was just as quick and hassle-free. I'm a Prime customer and I'm so impressed with the service Amazon provides. I will happily continue to be a customer. I know it sounds like they paid me to say this, but I really feel strongly about applauding good customer service.

It is light in weight, handles easily, doesn't burn your finger tips, has ceramic plates, glides down the hair, heats up fast, adjustable temp, cools quickly so you are not stuck waiting while on the go, makes your hair shiny and perfectly straight with the ends just slightly turned under. You can make curls if you want to but I like my long hair straight. I use it 3 times per week and I need to order the product that keeps your hair from drying out. My stylist said that was a good idea. She was very impressed with the Solano as it is not as well known as the other brands. She paid almost $100 more for the one she uses in her salon and it has no advantage over the Solano.But so far it is perfect and I am careful in boxing it to take it to the gym or on a trip. Treated with care, this product should outlast me:)

This was recommended by my hair dresser because that's what she uses in the salon. It really is the best that I've had yet. I use to use the Helen of Troy Ceramic Flat Iron and it was good but it didn't straighten my hair like this does. I would recommend this to anyone else who is looking for a flat iron. I put four stars because I'm still figuring this one out with what temperature to use because my main concern is I don't want to damage my hair with split ends since I have very curly hair. However, I use it at 280 degrees and that seems to do the job well and it straightens my hair to where it looks like it's natural. It's pretty neat.

I have VERY thick, long, wavy hair and I needed a straightener that could make it look silky and of course, straight. The pros are it reaches 450 degrees which I need to get the wave out of my hair. You can feel moisture in your hair after straightening (instead of brittle or dry) because of the ceramic tourmaline. It heats up at the highest temperature in about 45 seconds- 1 minute and the light turns red when its ready and blue if you want it to cool to a lower temp. Only con is that I have to go over the piece of hair I used at least 2 or 3 times in order for it to be straight.

I have straight hair naturally and used this iron to calm flyaways and make my hair more sleek. I only used it once a week, maybe twice and not all over my entire head. I purchased about 7 years ago and it just died the other day. I liked it but I didn't love it so I am trying a different brand next.

Excellent product. However I was disappointed there was a $ 9.95 handling fee that was a surprise when we picked it up from the post office.
