I am a professional, shooting concerts and events with multiple cameras, and recording audio separately. A clapper board is the the best way to synchronize video with an audio track. Video always lags, but the time varies depending on the camera and system loading.

Works great, dry erase doesn't leave any residue. The bolt holding the clacker needs to be tightened. Aside from that, I'm very happy with this product and recommend it for anybody shooting a short or feature film.

This is not as good as the high-end slates with more thick acrylic and wood. But it comes with a couple extras, and the magnet is great. Like similar inexpensive slates you have to be careful and make sure the nuts are screwed on the bolts or they will fall off. These were loose upon arrival. It's easy to write on the markers are good. The eraser works well and has good quality. Magnet is not the strongest that I've used, but it helps create a clean clap sound. As long as you take care of it, this will last a while.

This was the highlight for our grandson at Christmas this year! Please us as it is difficult to hit their hot buttons some times! ;o)

My son is studying film and needed a clapboard for projects. He was pleased with this product.

A nice dorm addition for your film student family member.

I bought this to film a short film as a student project. It has a nice finish and I liked how this one had spaces for everything I needed to write, it is more detailed than others I looked at. The top rotates all the way which is nice, and has a nice magnetic snap. It comes in a box that is great to bring around to keep everything together. The actual pens don't work great, and I found that they left a residue. The eraser also didn't work great. I ended up using just a tissue and an expo marker throughout filming. The screw that holds the top to the board also became loose with snapping the top, and I had to continue tightening it. It has some flaws, but got the job done.
