SecheClear and Seche Vite, Base Coat and Top Coat for Nail Polish

I've been using both Seche Clear Base Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat for over 5 years and it's hands down the very best! The quality is superb and it works great! The packaging is totally on point and it's a piece of cake to use! I really like that it delivers a professional manicure and pedicure from the comfort of my own home! I think it's great that the base coat is non-yellowing and that it makes my polish look fantastic! Plus the top coat makes my nails feel silky, stronger, and helps to prevent my polish from chipping as well! Overall I give these products two great big thumbs way up and would definitely recommend them!

I don't usually write reviews, but I've become so dependent on reading other reviews before I buy anything, I thought it would only be fair that I finally contribute. Maybe it's helpful to know that this is the first product that I'm compelled to review, and that's because this top coat actually does work as well and as fast as it claims. It really does feel like magic when using it.Past Experience: Before, I was stuck using top coat brands like Sally Hansen that claim to be fast or instantly drying, but three days later and I could still make a dent in my polish. I rarely painted my nails because the experience wasn't enjoyable, but I felt stuck with drugstore brands because I didn't know what else to use and a lot of other products seemed too expensive. After finally giving in and committing myself to doing some research, I found this one, as it came highly recommended but more importantly, the price is reasonable.Tips: When using the Seche Vite top coat, the top layer is solid and touchable in about 5 minutes, though I also give it a good half hour for safety before doing anything with my hands, because after that it feels like it's indestructible. With some practice, I would say the final results are better than anything I've gotten at a salon. You really just take a nice sized pearl of top coat and gently drag it across the polished nail before it starts to dry so that it forms a smooth layer. The key is getting a knack for the right amount to start with because if it's too little you'll disturb the polish, and if it's too much it'll bleed off your nail bed. If you're experiencing any chipping I would also recommend wrapping the tips of the nail with both your polish and the top coat. My nails last a lot longer that way. If you paint your nails a lot I would definitely also recommend getting the Seche Restore, because it helps expand the life of this top coat and also the life of your nail polish.Overall: I am finally able to enjoy the process of painting my nails and my nails are beginning to grow nice and long because I get to keep them polished. If you are curious about trying this I would say don't hesitate and try it. It works and it's cheaper than the brands that don't even work as well. The only downside may be the strong smell if you are sensitive to that. Oh, and I also can't ignore the chemical warning label about possible reproductive harm. I really like both the base coat and top coat. The base coat dries fast and the top coat is also really fast drying. Great texture and formula. Will be re-purchasing once I get low on product.

This stuff is magical. It made my nails dry hard with no bubbles, and it LASTS SO LONG!

I have mostly positive feedback about this product. But first, let me clear the air with regards to some of the myths associated with this product.1. Yes. This product DOES give a shiny finish that looks exactly like nail gel.2. I got the clear base and top coats. They make bonding better and also dry really fast.3. But I wouldn't exactly call them "long lasting". I first used this product last Friday. As per instructions, I applied the base coat, waited for it to dry and then applied two coats of my usual store brand nail polish (Sally Hansen hard as nails). My nails were really beautiful during the first two days. And then on Monday, the polish started peeling off. Note: NOT CHIPPED BUT PEELED straight off.The reason why I'm of mostly positive opinion about this product is that I feel it makes less of a mess when it comes off.✓ I agree that for me the polish remained intact only for a couple of days. But that might be because I use my hands a lot for cooking, gardening and art. I personally can't expect much longevity when it comes to manicure.✓ Also, until now I've only used the bargain brand nail polishes ( Sally Hansen and Sinful colors). This product might stay on for long when used with good brand polishes. I'll update my review when I do so!So all in all, this is a good product. It does give a beautiful, professional finish. Extremely easy to clean up. But doesn't last too long.Update: after a couple of uses and I've learnt exactly how to use this product, I've changed my mind. I am increasing my rating to 5 stars. Because of this product, I am able to obtain manicures with a perfect professional finish at home and using store brand nail polishes like Sally Hansen. Hence, I am receiving a lot of compliments and saving a lot of money!!

Dry fast,best base&top I've ever used.

The base and top coat provide a salon like finish. I always have trouble with my regular nail polish smearing or getting messed up after doing them at home but when I use these, especially the top coat my nail polish almost never gets any blemishes. Highly recommend this brand for the top coat!!

love love love this top coat! dries so incredibly quickly and makes my nails look amazing.
