Good product. Been around for years. Easy to install and use. Make sure you clean the sail first and make sure you put it where you want it. Getting it off of a clean sail is a job.

They work well. Make sure you stick it where you want it the first time, repositioning is not a good idea. I installed them on my mainsail and furling genoa jib.I basically guessed as to where the best positions are to mount them. It would be nice to have some suggestions on placement. As an intermediate level sailor, it would be nice to have a bit less guesswork involved.They are easy to install, and seem to stick very well. (I did clean the sail surface before sticking them on, something that I would highly recommend.)

The telltales are just what you need, and they fit into slits in an adhesive disc in a way that is simple, clever, and secure. The only problem is that the "slippery" backing card that holds the discs is not slippery enough, or it delaminates too easily. With several of the discs the first layer of the backing came off and could not be removed. Fortunately there were way more discs than I needed (I think there were 12), so I was not inconvenienced.

Davis has produced many common sensical items for the sailor and this is one of them. The tells are generously long for either jib or mainsail and the round stick discs are good sized and do their job. If your sail isnt clean suggest your used a soft rag and some alcohol to clean prior to attachment....

Whilst Davis is best known for its weather stations, they also make gear for sailors. The Davis Air-Flow Tels are the standard in tell-tales in the sailboat racing world (at least in the small Olympic classes). They are durable and the stickers REALLY stick. The colors don't fade, either. You attach them to the leech and body of your main and the luff and body of your jib as an aid to sail trimming. I use them on my softwater Club 420 sailboat and hardwater DN iceboat sails and they've yet to fail me.

I used these on my Force 5 mainsail. The tell tales are just shy of 1/2” wide and 9.5” long. The stickers hold the material well and can be peeled off and moved if needed. Recommended.

Placed on main and jib, both sides. Easily shows the flow of air across the sails. Also placed on the standing rigging to indicate the direction on the wind. Simple but effective on all fronts.
