Fabulous for indoor play
We purchased this slide for our 20-month old daughter for Christmas, and she absolutely loves it. Not only is she enjoying being able to go down it herself, but she takes great joy in sending many of her toys down it as well. She hasn't had any trouble climbing the steps or riding down the slide, and I actually like the fact that it's not terribly tall since it's not far to the ground if she ever did fall. We have the slide set up on the carpet in our living room, and it's short and stable enough that I feel totally comfortable letting her play with it while I'm in another room. (Having said that, I can see how a much younger child might have trouble with the steepness of the steps and/or slide, so it's probably better for children closer to my daughter's age.) I definitely recommend this if you're looking for something to entertain your child and help burn off some energy inside during the dreary winter months!

good for rainy days
This product is an inexpensive one that can provide a lot of "independent" play-something definitely necessary for my very active 1.5 year old. it folds for easy storage and is quite durable.I would recommend it again.

Get a different slide. Did the company ever test this toy?
This slide was puchased for a 15 month old. My complaint with this slide is that it is virtually impossible for a small child to walk up and slide down this slide. An adult has to put them on the top of the slide and slide them down. This is due to the fact that the bottom step is located directly below the next step up. If you notice, all correctly engineered slides have graduated steps. The only step a child sees on this slide when walking up or trying to walk back down the steps is the top step, the bottom step is virtually invisible being completely underneath the top step (there are only two steps). So the child tries to lift their leg onto a step which is too high. Then the top side rails are very low and the slide is pitch waaaaay too steeply. Horrible engineering. And a cautionary note: if the child tries to slide down the slide with bare feet, their feet will stick to the slide and pitch them right off into the air. This actually happened, luckily while I was holding onto the toddler, but otherwise I'm sure she would have been hurt. I can't imagine that this has not happened many times to other children.I would never purchase this slide again. The child really enjoys sliding, but I would definitly purchase a different model. I'm getting pretty disgusted with Little Tikes toys.

Too Steep To Climb, Be Safe, or not hurt your baby's bottom!
I was so excited to bring home a slide for my rather tall, very active 13 month old. She loves the slides at the park, and the one in our yard, but I wanted something small & foldable for rainy/snowy days. First, I was disappointed when a similar slide went on sale the day after for half the price -- but that's just a suggestion to watch your prices before you buy! My daughter *does* mostly enjoy the slide, however, she cannot climb the stairs because they are far too steep. You really need the ability to pull your foot up AND back simultaneous because the stairs are pretty much a straight ladder. Second, even though our play room is covered in 3/4" rubbery-foamy matting, the landing off the slide is too hard. She always looks rather put off when she lands. And though we don't mind a little thrill, this is too much of a steep, short drop. We've wedged the end of our spare-sleeper foam mattress under one end to ease both slope and landing, but it means she cannot go on it by herself at all. There's also a bracing bar underneath the slide to lock it open, but it actually sits even more narrow when the bar is in place, so for it to be useable, you have to slide the bar into the storage position. I wouldn't recommend the slide, choose another that is more logically made.

Good buy!
We bought this as a gift to our 2 year old goddaughter. She loves playing with it and our 1 year old nephew plays with it also. It's very sturdy and safe. It's easy to store it and it does not require screws or any tools for you to fold and keep it. It's definitely a good buy.

Birthday Fun
Bought this for my daughter's first birthday and she has enjoyed since day one. She is a very active child and loves to climb the stairs and slide down. The slide itself has a few marks on it, but I guess that is to be expected when you are dealing with shipping etc.
