TimexMen's Expedition Shock XL Vibrating Alarm 50mm Watch

so my baseline everyday watch is the Garmin instinct original. But I need you to watch without Bluetooth and heart rate sensors. So I bought two watches a Casio and a Timex expedition. I'll leave both reviews here.I am not a fan of large faced watches the Timex has a substantially larger face and bezel on it but after wearing it a couple days it's not that bad it's not heavy can get caught on sleeves.Although it didn't come with a manual the buttons are very intuitive they're easy to figure out it has a few features that are nice and some are that are not needed what's really cool about it is If you don't need an special alarms you can remove that from the display or add it back that was pretty nice.ProsLightweight, nice big display, subtle night light display, you can select between vibration or audible alerts. So far the band retainer is holding in place.You can set three alarms and a timer.ConsFor your alarm clock it vibrates initially then vibration will stop in an audible alarm will pick up I wish it would vibrate and have an alarm at the same time. This is for the timer also.Any button will stop the alarm that you set, so you could accidentally bump it while sleeping and miss it.For me personally timex is the better watchThe Casio. 3446The watch feels really good it looks good it's smaller face didn't catch on clothing or feel bulky.I thought it was nice that it came with a manual. Until I realized why the watch ⌚ operation is not intuitive like a genuinely took me a minute to figure it out how to get through all the layers and then I had to open up the book and figure it out whereas my Garmin instinct and the Timex was very easy to figure out. It only has one alarm on it you can do two time zones the light button is placed very nicely in the front and it's a very subtle LED lighted background.I'm sure if you're a fan of Casio this watch would meet your needs for a basic wrist watch for me it did not meet that standard and this will be returned.

Nice large display and really like the negative (white on black). Very durable. I wear it everywhere and watch has taken impact with no visible damage. Vibration plus regular alarm is great - I use both. 3 alarms possible and can be weekend, weekday or daily. I work weekdays so this is quite useful for my daily routine. Big size which I like. I switch the band out for a fabric tactical one with Velcro and like it.

Great- holds up well

This is a bigger version than I used to have. Great display, great functionality (I need a repeating timer and vibration mode). The wrist band is pretty clumsy, I'll get a lighter one. I removed a point because of that and my battery was almost empty so the beep was almost not audible.

My bf can't hear and his work environment is load. He loves the vibrating alarm on this, bc he now has the alerts everyone else can hear. He likes the way it wears bc it's not bulky.

Other reviewers had similar comments. The watch is just so dim! I have to look at the watch for several seconds to tell the time when indoors but I have to use the indigo light 99% of the time just to tell what time it is when I am in a normal to low-lit place. Outdoors is better. However, what good is a watch if you can't read the time when inside??? (The one I ordered was - Color: Black/Negative - Numerals are yellowish green). I had opted to return this one and purchase a different model - (the Color: Black/Positive). Hoping there is enough contrast to read the time without using a backlight. I believe Timex had an opportunity to make a great watch for the $. However, TIMEX couldn't seem to get the contrast correct with the lighter numbers and dark background. A few good things are: The watch has some heft (weight) to it and programming seems rather intuitive. Hope my review helps save you some time. The watch is massive. Setting the alarm and other functions is not intuitive. The vibrating alarm function is not very effective and can be accidentally turned off when sleeping. I am hearing impaired and bought this watch, hoping the vibrating alarm would be something I could count on, when I need to be up at a certain time. Very disappointed.

Amazing watch. Keeps time well and vibrating alarm is a very nice feature.
