Hydrating Face Moisturizer & Body Cream with Manuka Honey Cream - Organic Face Moisturizer with Honey for Extremely Dry Skin - for Dry & Itchy Skin, Rosacea & Eczema Prone Skin 2oz

I have mildly sensitive skin that leans toward the oily-side, and I struggle to find a moisturizer that works all day but doesn’t feel greasy. Previously, I was using Bare Minerals True Oasis and I love it, but every once in awhile, the skin on my neck becomes inflamed with hives, usually when I’m stressed and/or in hot weather and I’m wearing a necklace (I do know how weird that sounds). Up til now, only cortisone cream, applied daily for 3-4 days would calm my poor skin. This cream has healed it, and I haven’t had a “break-out” since I started using it a few weeks ago. It goes on heavy feeling but my skin is totally matte afterward and feels really lush and hydrated, not clogged or greasy. A little goes a long way, and even though this jar is the same size as my old bare minerals stuff, it’s going to last a much LONGER time. The only drawback is that it smells very lightly like honey and cream, which I know people probably love. I don’t, but I added a couple drops of peppermint oil and stirred the pot up and now it has a nice clean fresh scent. This is the best moisturizer I’ve found and the dual benefit of helping my sensitive skin is a pleasant surprise!

I just got this cream yesterday, and I've only applied it a couple times, but so far so good. I have seborrheic dermatitis and have been struggling with it for years. Its in the creases around my nose, on my eyebrows, and around the lower corners of my mouth. One product that worked a lot for me, oddly enough, was a hyaluronic acid cream. But the acid cream is irritating (stings) when I apply it even though it definitely keeps the flakes at bay, being that it's an exfoliant. With every product I've used to keep this dermatitis under control, they've never helped the redness. Flakes or no flakes, I have severe redness in those areas. I used this Honeyskin Organics cream last night and I woke up with a soft face, and also, no stingy, itchy or flaky skin. I washed my face and applied a light layer for the day, and tonight I washed and applied a light layer before bed. My skin isn't negatively reacting, and right now, is very smooth, feels moisturized, but still no flakes and no irritation. So far so good. (My skin usually reacts very negatively immediately upon trying new products) I'll keep using this for the next couple weeks and see what happens from there. I will note that YES it is a very thick cream, but once it's on and massaged in and dried, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It's very light and my face doesn't feel sticky or overloaded. I do put it on right after washing though while my face still has a bit of water. I'll update this post when I gain more knowledge of how my skin reacts to this cream. But so far, I'm feeling good about this one!

I waited almost two months after receiving this product to write this review because I was so on the fence about it and almost returned it twice, in fact. However, in the end, I have come to conclude this moisturizer is EXCELLENT and I will repurchase it. The pros and cons are discussed below: 1. The worst thing about this product is its ability to "play well with others". This moisturizer has a bit of an odd texture to it that I have now learned to love but did not at first. It is a little waxy almost. Because of this texture and the reason for my almost returning it twice was an inability to use it without horrible pilling. It was a lot of trial and error for me to figure out how to use it if I wanted to have anything else on my face. If you wear it alone sans makeup, serums, or anything else - you will have no problem. Likewise if you are using it as a body lotion without additional layers of products, you will love it. 2. Because of this issue, I use this moisturizer on my face only at night. I cannot wear it in the morning and wear makeup (and I do not wear foundation, only concealer and an application of pressed powder) or apply my Vitamin C, eye cream and peptide, sunscreen. IT DOES NOT WORK, no matter how long I wait between applying products. I end up with pilling and an unsmooth look so I use a moisturizer with mineral sunscreen in the morning and opt for this at night. 4. Applied at night after cleansing, toning, retinol this product is amazing. it sort of seals the moisture into your face, leaves it soft and smooth and no oiliness - not even when you wake up in the morning. 5. I have mild rosacea and battle some redness in my cheeks and I noticed a huge difference in 2-3 days after consistent use of this product (hence my reluctance on returning it and determination to make this product work for me!). 6. I seem to be alone on this, but I like the smell! 7. I bought the 2oz jar and it has lasted two months and I estimate I have about 2 weeks more of the product left. 8. This is the only "lotion" I let my 8 and 9 year old kids use. It is gentle and does not have fragrance and alcohols and dyes that are stuffed in to all other lotions. 9. My final comment is that this product is truly unique in its absorption and texture. Don't expect it to be like other moisturizers. Don't be too quick to return it, give it some time (I definitely had to) and you will be a convert. I do recommend this moisturizer but I give it four stars because of the problems I noted above. I am going to continue using it and purchase a larger size and start using it on my body as well. Hope this is helpful!

I bought this because it supposedly had manuka honey but when it arrived and I was able to read the ingredients I saw that manuka honey was pretty much the last ingredient. If there is just a drop of an ingredient in a product the company can legally say the ingredient is in there and I believe this is the case here. I'm disappointed and actually annoyed with myself for buying it. It does soothe my rosacea a little but more manuka honey would be of much greater help.

My husband has been using this on his psoriasis and it seems to be helping reduce the redness and itching.

This product is not really moisturizing the skin, instead feels dry on the skin. Kind of disappointed.
