Garnishing set is stainless steel with wooden handle. Cuts a variety foods artistically. Sharp and functional. Value for cost.

Not professional tools but still fun

There may be some tools in this set that you'll never use, or maybe you'll use only once. But at this low price, it's worth it to be the person that brings that plate of very creatively cut fruits or vegetables to that one party. Do it even once and your friends will be talking about how creative you are for years. I use the spiral slicer tool as a fun way to quickly cut cucumbers for snacking. It is quick, easy and fun. I'll use more of these tools when summer arrives and I have different fruits to play with.

Seems like a nice set, haven't used them yet. Bought it primarily for the crinkle cutter, great for toddlers and small children to use with supervision, but it is not sharp and they get to participate in cutting vegetables for dinner too! Especially fun for making "Stone Soup", lol. Thought was a good price, just to buy a crinkle cutter is around $6-7 so a little extra for this set and you get four other cutters too!

I read other bad reviews, but I just thought their expectations were to high for a cheap garnish kit. I thought it would be ok, I was not going to use this in a commercial kitchen, I just wanted to play around with this to see if I liked garnishing, and if so, I'd buy a better, more expensive kit, if I reached the limitations of this one. But no, their expectations were not to high, this kit really was just that horrible. None of the stuff that is supposed to be sharp is actually sharp. The garnishing knife, spiral slicer, twin curl cutter, and a v-shaped melon decorator are all used to cut into different things, and all of them had a completely, or nearly completely blunt edge. I'm not exaggerating when I say this, I was literally able to cut into a cucumber easier with the handle of a spoon then I was with the wavy edged garnishing knife. These 'tools' when they did anything, just ripped or tore through the vegetables, and never neatly cut them. The only thing that was sharp was the flexible knife, but the metal used was so soft and bad quality that within three days the edge was noticeably worn did not cut much at all after that.

Twin curl cutter broke when we took it out of the package. Looked like it wasn't joint together properly. All the other pieces are fine.

The spiralizer wasn’t not really as functional as we had hoped but the crinkle fry cutter was spot on. The other tools are fun and functional as well, but literally nothing is better than homemade crinkle fries.
