I was looking for something for the shed as it just had an accumulation of smells from all it's uses. Things like grease, oil, garden stuff, paint etc. etc. I only had to go in there for ten minutes and my clothes would smell of the shed so I looked for some sort of air freshener to try and alleviate it. I saw these and reviews were good so I bought them at the beginning of the year and tbh didn't expect much to happen. They need 'charging' in the sun and there wasn't a lot of sun as it was winter still so I just put them outside for a bit in the hope it'd be enough. Well, they really do work, now apart from a mild shed smell they've absorbed the majority of it which is fantastic. I put them out to charge the other day when we had a lot of sun and I think you're supposed to do them every quarter maybe, it does say somewhere. So if you need a smell eliminated these really are worth the price which isn't much in the first place and they can be reused and I believe recycled if you no longer need them. Win win!

There were a couple of smell 'issues' in our flat. The fridge had an unpleasant smell even though it had been cleaned out thoroughly, the cats litter tray was occasionally a bit pongy and the bin towards the end of the week was getting rather stinky. The two smaller charcoal bags now live in the fridge and beside the bin and the large one beside the cat's litter tray.The smell in the fridge has completely gone - which I am very impressed about. Much better than masking the smell with another scented odor. The bin smell seems to be less smelly - either that or it's contents haven't been as pungent. And as for the cats litter tray - I think it is working, but hard to tell. Sometimes it is hard as you become accustomed to certain smells after a while so unless you have been away for a while or a guest brings something to your attention then it can be hard to pick up on.Have had less than 1 month so haven't 'recharged' them yet - I will be able to see if they keep their durability after a little more time. And I will also have to get the opinions from my guests as to whether there are any undesirable smells lingering still.Great design and size nethertheless!

I never usually leave reviews but just had to for these. I was totally sceptical but thought they were worth a try for £11. My spare room wardrobe has a fusty unpleasant smell and I've no idea what causes it as nothing in there smells on its own. The bags arrived and I left them to "charge" in the sun for a few hours. Then I put all 3 bags in the wardrobe. The next day I smelt inside the wardrobe and the fusty smell had gone! It's like magic. I honestly can't believe it. I'm now monitoring it each day with excitement to see how long they work for. When will the smell come back?! Will it come back? Right now I want to go and buy 10 more if these bags and stick them in all my husbands shoes and work boots!!

I used these in a particularly large room so perhaps that's why they didn't make any difference? The flat I moved into is old with an old kitchen and I just can't get rid of the slightly funky smell - I've tried so many things! Next will be trying diffuser oil and reeds. But yes, I had all three bags in the room and there was no change in the smell so I returned them.

A neutral smell , it must work by drawing in smells I have noticed no difference. You just have to take the makers word.

Using this to keep away mould in the bathroom, I used a elastic band to attach it to the shower rod but you can attach it to any shower curtain hook. Doesn't weigh down the shower rod which I'm happy about.

Really did the job but my husband who suffers with allergies found himself coughing in the night and bleary eyed in the morning and when we removed them he recovered

Fit shoes etc... However don't think we have really noticed any benefit
