OXO Good Grips i-Series Peeler Blade Replacement Cartridge

I like these pretty well, and I really like my peeler. I am willing to pay the price to have a quality peeler and not have to throw it away when it gets dull. Actually replacing the blades is easy and safe.

Oxo makes two straight peelers. The regular all-plastic model, and the pro model, which has a metal top. Both are excellent. But trust me, and I have worked in a commercial kitchen for 11 years, the Pro model is worth the extra couple of bucks. The added weight of the metal top makes it clearly superior, as the weight adds momentum to the top of the peeler, which makes it easier to use. We have both in our kitchen, and we fight over who gets the Pro unis for a big job.If you do a lot of peeling, eventually the blade will lose it's edge. Replacing the blade is less expensive and better for the environment than replacing the entire peeler. Buy the Oxo Pro and a set of spare blades. You will thank me.

Not the right size for my OXO veggie pealed. Be sure and check yours before buying.

Almost impossible to replace the blade in the U shapped peeler that I prefer. I haven't yet tried it with the straight peeler.

I think this is a great idea, but a bit pricey. I bought the wide and conventional peelers at 6.99 and 9.99. OXO generally makes very good products.

I like the peeler a lot better then anything I could find at the store. I like the idea of being able to replace the blades. I have not had to replace the blade yet but it does appear tthat this set up will make it very easy.

When you wear the first set out, buy two extra blades! Sharp as a razer, last for a long time and keep your peeler working optimally!

Great replacement blades and makes the world less wasteful by simply replacing the blade and not the entire peeler.Unfortunately, I called OXO and they told me they no longer sell replacement blades as the peeler is now considered as disposal. You simply have to buy a new peeler all together. This is no different from Apple making phones where you can't replace the battery, so that you have to buy a new one every few years. This is how these companies ensure their revenue pipeline and create a significant amount of waste and pollution to our world.
