Good buy
Filters the water to reduce scale, lights up while boiling so easy to see when its finished and good capacity, its the second one I've bought.

Good but minor flaws in design.
Had a Breville Brita kettle which lasted 2 years. Decided to try stainless steel bodied kettle by Russle Hobbs. But it was noisy and, due to being stainless steel, let in low light, such that we had difficulty is see the level of water in the windows. Bought this one while shelved the Russle Hobbs. Very quiet in comparison although the volume which could be boiled at one time is less, at 4-5 cups. Two things to improve is the transparent part of the body should come down to the level of 1 cup of water (at the moment it is 2 cups) and I won't need to boil 2 cups at a time most of the time. Secondly, when you open the lid, the condensate drops outside the body of the kettle necessitating having to be wiped before connecting to the base for boiling..

Looks good!
Makes a lovely brew! The kettle is a little bigger then I thought, but in all honesty it doesn't matter, does the job!

Excellent value
Easy to use. Easy to clean. Good value for the money. Saves using a water jug to purify the water.

Nice looking and reasonably priced.
Really pleased with this. The downside is that you have to wait a couple of minutes to fill the kettle + a bit longer if you need to fill more than a couple of cups. You have to fill the it halfway, let that filter, then top it up. My husband finds it really annoying but I think it's worth a little inconvenience to have filtered water and I don't want all that scale in the bottom of the kettle.

It's Ok but I feel it's better to use a normal water filter as I feel the heat from the kettle reduces the life of the filter cartridge, I have noticed a chalk flavour at times. Also tastes of plastic at times. The solid heating plate after just 4 days started obtaining scale. My advice is to filter your water separately. I do like the design of the kettle however.

Breville Brits Filter Jug Kettle
I have not had this kettle very long but I love it. My previous kettle was a Breville but more kettle shape, this one is jug shaped. First of all it is so much quieter and my previous one which was in stainless steel. I bought this jug one because of the Brita Filter element, I live in a very hard water area. Up to just it is meeting all my requirements.

Tried and tested
This is my second Breville Brita kettle which I chose because the first one lasted so long. The water runs through the filter very quickly so no need to wait to switch it on and the filter container is not so big that it limits the amount of water you can boil at one time. Kettle looks good and I like the blue light.
