My boy loves it!
From the moment we powered up the game, it was clear that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is something special. The vibrant, colorful graphics immediately captivated my son, and the laid-back gameplay offered a perfect balance of challenge and creativity. The game starts with the player moving to a deserted island, where they can develop their own paradise at their own pace. My son enjoyed the freedom to explore, gather resources, and customize his island. The characters are charming and the dialogue is often humorous, adding to the overall charm of the game. One of the standout features is the social aspect. My son loves visiting friends' islands and inviting them to his. This aspect of the game has been particularly valuable during these times, offering a way for him to interact and play with friends safely. The game also teaches responsibility and planning. He has to manage resources, pay off his home loan, and plan the layout of his island. It's a great, subtle way to introduce these concepts to a child.Overall, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a fantastic addition to our game library. It is a delightful, enriching experience that keeps my son engaged and happy. Highly recommended for any young gamer.

Nice and relaxing game
Animal Crossing has been always a chill game; there's a few things to do in your island, very relaxing in general, and you end up playing many hours in a row without noticing. You can have more than one character in the same island and play alongside in local, using the same Nintendo Switch (don't remember the max number of players using this). Sad thing is that you don't have too much freedom this way, so if you want to play with someone else and that other person has a Nintendo Switch, better to buy another game. This game does not have cloud save and your island is saved in your Nintendo Swicth! Keep this in mind if you're buying another Nintendo Switch, or you'll end up losing everything.

A great game very theraputic
This is the best game ever, and thank god for it. I’m currently on furlough from work due to the Coronavirus, this game has been my life saver and when I have felt anxious or worried it has kept me sane.I have always loved Animal Crossing and played the previous games, but by far this is the best one I find it relaxing, very addictive and saved many an argument over the remote control for the TV. Its fun for adults and I can imagine for older children it could be educational, such as having to work for money (or in this case Bells and Nook Miles), paying a mortgage off, also finding out about different Critters. When you donate a new fish/bug or fossil Blathers the wise old Owl from the museum will tell you a little about the item you are donating. Also you can design things, decorate your own house and keep friends with your neighbours, this is just a selection of the activities included. There is so much involved and so much to do once you have helped build the basics of the island like where you want to live, the Museum, Town Hall, Shops and assisted new residents to move to your island you pretty much free to do what you want. You have the usual change of seasons, catching bugs, various fish (which change over the year) and finding fossils but a recent update now sees us deep sea diving for various sea creatures. You still have the usual tournaments and annual events such as Halloween and Easter. What makes this Animal Crossing different is that when you arrive at your chosen island it is deserted and you are limited to where you can go on the island, you have no ladder to climb the cliffs and a vaulting pole to vault across the rivers, so choose wisely, the aesthetics of island does not really matter as you are able to terraform the land later. As you have no equipment or furniture and no means to buy them as the game progresses you go from flimsy tools to more robust equipment, you also get recipes to build a whole range of furniture and accessoriesYou also have a choice between the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, and you get the seasons to match. Also we see introduced are Nook Miles which can be earned by performing various tasks, Nook Miles can buy you certain items to decorate your island, terraforming equipment and best of all air miles so you can fly off to other deserted islands, if you are lucky to get a rare island it will bring in some big Bells (money). You also have the opportunity to pick fruit that is not native to your island and stock up on the essentials to build furniture & equipment. The only downside of this game is that you cannot have multiple Animal Crossing discs on one console, it is one island per console, to have more than one island you would need a Switch console per game, which to me seems wrong. You can have multiple players for the same island, but if everyone wants to play the game at the same time it could cause friction, lucky for me that is not an issue. Can I recommend it, if your looking for a lovely stress free game that has so much packed into it then go for it, it is worth every penny.

A fun little escape from the stresses of reality
Animal Crossing New Horizons is one of those strange little oddities that sucks you in and keeps you coming back every day to maintain your crops and get your daily Nook Miles. You can never really put your finger on why you enjoy it. It could easily become a bit of a chore. But it feels so cutesy and charming (although I will admit I got a somewhat sinister feeling from Tom Nook at the beginning of the game - he turned out to be an alright guy though) and it offers such a relaxing experience that the work feels less of a chore and more something you look forward to doing every day. There’s something really satisfying about building your island from scratch and turning it into your own little town. Even better that you can show it off to your friends and visit their creations with relative ease. The only issue I have with the game is I can only have one island on my Switch, meaning I have to share the island with my daughter which can cause a few headaches as our ideas sometimes clash. It’s a small niggle though.A ton of fun and highly recommended for anyone that’s feeling the stresses of the real world and wants to escape somewhere relaxing.

BEST GAME EVER!
if you’re thinking about getting animal crossing and you aren’t sure whether it’s worth the money…….. we’ll I was exactly the same but in the end I went for it andddddd I haven’t played anything else since :) it’s incredible!!!!!!!!! I’m in my 30s and couldn’t really find a game that really held my attention, but this game is everything!!!!!! So nice to just pop and off when you want and play for while at a time. There is SO much to do, you’ll never get bored. Plus if you know others who have the game you can visit their islands, it’s so fun!!!!!! It’s well worth the money and this was the cheapest I could find it. BEST GAME EVER!
