Good sized solar panel, and battery make this worth it
***Update #2*** pump stopped working again, less than a year later. I'm willing to take some of the blame as I didn't clean it as regularly as I should have, and I think it might be best put away during winter, but having said that, another water feature I bought earlier (from a different warehouse style shop beginning with A) with a similar solar powered pump - is still working. So I think these ones just aren't built to last. Probably not worth buying.***Update* This pump actually stopped working after a couple of months of use - tried following instructions to ensure it was clean but it seemed it just stopped receiving power at all. Contacted the seller via Amazon and they provided excellent customer service and sent a replacement, so I'm very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the pump or seller. ***I previously tried another solar pump without a battery and was very disappointed. Without direct bright sunlight, nothing much happened at all.I then decided a battery on the unit was a must, and this seemed to have reasonable reviews and I'm glad I chose it.I've now purchased two of these pumps which I have connected to my own 8mm hose which attaches to a water feature running into my pond. A sort of self-made rocky waterfall if you will, and it works well. The pipe is 2m long, and I had no issues with even one pump getting the water to the top, however adding a second (with a Y connector between the two pumps) works especially well!I find the water runs continuously most days from early morning until evening (helps that the sun has been out a lot recently) but, as another reviewer said, if you remove the pumps from the water when you don't need it (i.e. when you're not around) then you'll find it holds its charge longer. All in all I'm very pleased, mainly due to the size of the solar panels and the decent sized battery. I'd definitely purchase this again if I needed another pump in the future.

Reaslly pleased with the way that this pump runs all day when its sunny.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to replace the pump I was using on a water feature in my pond. I was attracted by the fact that this solar fountain would run on solar power alone. My previous pump which still works well after several years only runs of the batteries charged b y the solar panel and only for a few hours. This one runs all day when the sun is on the solar panel and in the afternoon when the sun dips behind my roof there is enough power in the battery to keep it running until nightfall. The flow rate is noticeably more than I used to get with the older pump. In view of the mixed reviews I have seen for this product I was not sure what to expect but I am more than pleased.I did briefly run the pump in its intended role as a floating fountain just to see how well it worked and its pretty impressive as a floating fountain too. The float is a good tight fit on the pump and even tighter when the riser for the fountain is pushed in.26/06/20 update, for some reason this pump has just stopped working. I tried it several times over a few days and was about to pack it for return on 08/07/20 when on giving it final try it burst into life again.

Was pleased for a day
Work straight out of the box, no need to charge first. Lots good so far, pleased with the strength of flow. The next day, it stopped working, with brilliant sunshine all day I would expect the charge to be fine, however nothing. It was used in clean water, but will not charge, therefore going back.

Easy to intall solar fountain
What can say about having a fountain in your back garden. You need to make sure you have laid out water proof electric wires, etc. Since we don’t have electrics installed in garden we wanted to build something that is self-running with no running cost and of course portable too.Package Content:1x Solar Fountain1x Water pumpSeveral different style sprayerAlthough this can be installed in a pond or can be run as a separate independent water fountain but it can also be used for many different DIY projects. So I have been working on setting up a wine glass and wine bottle fountain – something like the one in the image - courtesy Youtube. So the one I am working on is yet to complete and need to give a bit of finishing touch before I drop a picture here. The pump provided with the product will last for 2-2.5 hours in full power, assuming you get sunlight all day. The flow of the fountain is quite fast and if you want to control the flow you may want to use a separate style sprayer. It is quite easy to assemble and get it running if you want to setup as a fountain. With regards to easy to install it depends on the application and the project you will use the bits for, but again if it is for a simple fountain then yes - easy to install. So for the project that I am working on I would need this to run at least for 4-5 hours or more. The wires supplied is quite long so if you have a garage you can install it away from the site. So I will be visiting the local county battery shop and see if they can suggest something that can be installed which would be quite interesting once the project is complete. I shall make sure I will drop the image once the project is complete. Would be happy to assist if someone would like to build something like this too.

Worked really well but broke after a year
Bought this for a small pebble pool in the garden and didn't expect much however I was really surprised with the strength of the pump even on cloudy days. The interchangeable nozzles meant I could alter the flow of the water (some were a little fiddly to put together but not really rocket science to work them out). I took the pump out, dried it and stored it over winter and then the next spring it just refused to work. The panel and wiring was fine but the pump was totally dead. Tried everything to bring it back to life with no joy.
