Pipe Crimping Tool Must Buy!!
This pipe crimping tool was great and fixed my plumbing issues without having to spend the quoted $1,500. It was easy to use and saved me a lot of money. Highly recommend!

Wow, this was easy
I just purchased this and used it to install a hot water heater. Since this was a different type of water heater there were a lot of moving the pipes to new locations and a lot of new connections and this device made it so simple, quick and easy. I love it. I hate sweating pipes and this removed that as an issue. I did have to go back and repress one connection but no big deal, I probably didn't press hard enough the first time. This is so much a time/money saver. Two notes - the manual needs a better English proof reader as it obviously was not written by someone who knows English. Also, the manual says to replace the hydraulic oil once a year - really? Also, if you go this way for connecting pipes remember that the fittings are much more expensive that regular copper fittings - but that is not the fault of this device. I will also note to buy the fittings on-line as in store there is a huge markup. Finally, buy this, it is well made, very substantial, and gets the job done well. Buying it only cost me a few dollars more than renting it at the local HD so go and buy this. I love it!

Good tool for the money
I just got through using this tool on my shower plumbing, all 1/2" copper tubing and used Viega ProPress fittings. It is a little tricky in some tight situations because you not only have to have room for the tool, but also room for pumping the handle. If you have the room, it does an excellent job. Not a single leak, no problem with 90 degree fittings. One of the really handy things about using these fittings, you don't have to have a dry connection like you do when soldering. I actually had a small flow of water when I crimped on the new shutoff valve. The only reason I took 1 star off is because the pipe cutter included in the kit is junk, in my opinion. To get an electric tool to do the same job will cost $1,000 and more.

Never have to sweat copper again
Perfect for the DIY. Used it to install Several press copper connectors and a ball valve. Work perfectly. It is a pretty beefy tool. But still fits into relatively tight locations. It is kind of heavy so when using overhead can tax the arms a little bit but not a big deal. Considering a cordless version of this tool is in the neighborhood of eight or $1000 at this Price point it's an awesome alternative for something you only have to do a couple times a year. It seems to be made very very well. If you have to call a plumber to do a simple repair this pays for it self on the first use. And, no chance of burning your house down. Comes in a nice case as well. also a kit of spare parts, o rings etc.

IboHappy
I had to remove an aging saddle valve after rerouting the water supply to my refrigerator. After cutting the pipe and cleaning up the cut edges I centered a viega no stop coupling over the cut in the pipe and used the tool. Worked perfectly. Despite somewhat tight quarters, I had enough room for the tool. I found it easier to rotate the tool head 90 degrees relative to the handle. The effort is minimal until the last few strokes of the handle and then a bit of effort is required. Worth every penny to avoid calling a plumber or having to learn to solder on a wet pipe. Yes, I could have used a push on coupling but wanted the added security of pro-press. The tool is well made and satisfying to use. I expect to use it again as the need arises for myself or friends/ neighbors.

Does the job and does it well
I gotta say I am impressed with the way this pro-press functions. I watched a bunch of videos and reviews before biting the bullet and buying it and was pleasantly surprised. Especially at this price point. Sure it's a manual crank but it's not bad at all. Once I got the hang of it I got moving pretty quick. My only concern with the tool is the size of the upper portion of the pro press. It's a little thick so if you have one of those copper pro-press Ts from Home Depot, good luck. You can press the sides with no issues but the part that Ts off is so close that you can't really squeeze in there. That's where my other pro-press shines. That and very tight spaces. With this tool being a little bulky, it's not that easy to work with if you don't have a lot of room. I love the fact that this can press both PEX and copper/brass. Been several months now using it. Haven't had any leaks yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

No complaints
Was a little skeptical when I saw a couple negative reviews but that must have been operator error. I had no issues at all. Granted the head is big but I would assume the power ones are the same so a small bit of planning is needed. I had no issues. I even crimped T fittings , you just need to angle the head on a 45. Takes about 10 pumps to crimp but it is not hard. Had zero leaks after the install and even had to twist one of the fittings 90° after a crimp to get things to line up and it still did not have any leaks. So far I have only done 1/2-in copper. Even if I never use it again, it was well worth it. Fyi the fittings are expensive and I had to go to a plumbing supply place to get All the fittings I needed and I got the thicker copper tubing to be safe.

T fittings may be an issue
Had to return on first use. I had to replace a T fitting and the head would not allow a straight crimp. For couplers, I had no issues. I would suggest you go with the crimper with a flatter head.
