Great little machine
Looking at some of the other reviews I believe some buyers did not read the description. This is a machine for sharpening small blades and for modelling work. I have a pocket knife collection and I make wood toys for kids and display. For my purposes it is ideal. I have just put an edge on 12 pocket knife blades and smoothed one worn knife handle, and the belt seems as good as new. I am very pleased. If you want to grind down a kitchen knife this is not for you.

Does the job!
Unlike one reviewer, I found this does have the 7 speeds. The picture indicates the 7 lights on the power supply. The switch has seven positions. The motor is powerful enough and the belts are easy to change. Polishing is done working with higher grits to get a smooth finish. Not having instructions does detract from my rating but if you have any mechanical inclination at all, it's really a simple set up. Overall I would say I'm pretty happy with this but we'll see over the long haul.

Works great everything I expected.
Its a very nice and compact machine it works great only problem was the sand belt is only a half inch I thought it was a 1 inch belt but after I read the description again I realized I thought wrong great machince and it worked out that the half inch one dose a better job then the 1 inch one would fir what Im doing with it!

Small , dosnt fit for the purpose, sanding built is useless

Watchmaker tool sharpener
Product performs as expected. However, edges of belts fray awfully easy and thross a lot of dust. The angle adjustment could be a bit steeper also. But all in all, very satisfied.

Not worth it
For one, NO appreciable power, way smaller than the advertisement let on, I would not sharpen anything bigger than exacto knife or smaller! There are no tools in my shop that would benefit with that thing

Very well made, completely assembled, all wrenches for maintenance?, quiet, will use for small irems too small for large belt Sanders! Looks like a toy, but not. Should have bought two, but just wanted to see quality first. Well worth the money! Csmee Came ready to use, wel pacaged for shipping! Can easily be used for anything @
