Mario Badescu Night Cream – Face Moisturizer for Women and Men for Hydrated, Smooth, Youthful-Looking Skin – Vitamin E, Elasto Collagen or Bee Pollen Facial Skin Care Formulas

A very rich cream. If you have oily skin, you might not need this or be happy with it. This rich cream is for those whose skin does not produce oil. So for instance, very dry non-oily skin produces no sheen on the skin even by 3 PM. For this kind of dry, no-oil skin, the cream goes right in and absorbs nicely. Those with normal skin or over-active oily skin might find this too heavy, the cream will likely not penetrate your film of sebum and then therefore will feel greasy. If you want to penetrate into the skin, wash your oily skin with the hottest water you can stand along with real soap. Use alcohol-based toner, THEN apply the cream to a damp skin. If you want an oily feel, then follow this cream with a petrolatum-based cream, patted on carefully. petrolatum acts like the missing sebum. vegetable-based creams do not seal the skin like sebum does. The reviews here differ wildly because the skins of each customer are very different.

While I hesitated to purchase due to size vs price, I am so glad that I ultimately decided to go through with the purchase. I feel like this stuff will last forever as you don't need much for good coverage. It is so think and creamy! It takes a while to absorb which I appreciate too as it creates a smooth/silky layer but does not clog my pores. I will always pay a little more for products that are environmentally friendly and cruelty free. When I wake in the morning, I still can feel the cream on my skin. With the dry climate that we deal with in Colorado, everything dries my skin. I've had to stop wearing foundation, which I have embraced. Somehow I have oily skin but dry/flakey skin in the "T-zone". I don't understand it, but this cream seems to be working! Its a cream, not a lotion. Worth the price!

I absolutely love this night cream! After finishing a pot of another brand, I was on the search for a hydrating, vegan nighttime face cream and all the reviews pointed me to Mario Badescue. The scent is light, the cream is thick but goes on effortlessly, and my skin couldn't be happier. My husband does frequently ask why my skin is so shiny when I come to bed, as the cream doesn't soak in 100% but there are no complaints on this. I'm already on my second pot of this since quarantine started and I will never be switching to anything else. As a 31-year old, I am doing everything in my power to prevent wrinkles and dryness. I think this is helping.

i bought this product because of an article I read about it. It does have a scent that's not bad, but not what I would call pleasant. it does do a fantastic job of night-time moisturizing. One thing to know is that it's very heavy and solid in the tub. You need to dig it out. After putting it on, it does feel nice but it's greasy and you need to rub it in well. it leaves a shiny, sweaty look to my skin but i only use it at night and don't care. In the morning, my skin feels well moisturized.

I never leave reviews, but figured I had to this time in case it helps someone else solve their skincare problems like the Amazon review that led me to this cream helped me solve mine. Pay it forward, you know? I love this night cream – I was a little wary at first because it goes on thick and very oily, but the difference it has made in my skin is incredible. It not only leaves my skin very well-hydrated and healthy-feeling, it somehow also helped get rid of my acne and these weird zit-like bumps that were all over my forehead. Someone else had left a review to that effect, so I figure that after trying everything else under the sun to get rid of them I might as well give this a shot. It worked like a charm – it took about 3 weeks to see a difference and about 6 before they were totally gone. In terms of price/use, this first jar has lasted me about 4 months, and I'd estimate I have another couple of weeks max until it's completely used up. I am genuinely shocked at the difference it has made in my skin and now won't go a single night without using it – I *may* have even taken it with me on a week-long backpacking/camping trip...

This night cream definitely does its job of hydrating my skin. And my skin does look dewy and smooth in the morning, however it is labeled for sensitive skin but it stings when I apply it and makes my cheeks a splotchy red. It also feels very thick and greasy when you first apply it, which is okay with me as my skin is that dry. I recently moved to a more harsh dry climate and that's taking its toll on my skin. Despite the stinging and red splotches this is the only night cream I've found so far (and I have tried quite a few) that seems to work through the night so that I don't wake up with dry patches on my nose and cheeks. It is a trade off for me though because of the burning. Maybe eventually I'll find a night cream that can both hydrate through the night and feel good going on, unfortunately this one is not it. For those of you that are concerned about chemicals this does have a cornucopia of ingredients, which include bee pollen extract, peanut oil, vegetable oil and beeswax but also, unfortunately methylparaben and propylparaben as well as imidazolidinyl urea. While I will continue to use this very sparingly I won't be purchasing it again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin. I hope in the future Mario Badescu starts putting out products that contain more natural ingredients because I do love their products and generally get great results. This one just isn't for me despite the great hydration it provides.

I’ve used this at night for 11 days now, & it has been the most wonderful addition to my skincare routine! I have used Tretinoin for 2 years & increased to 0.1% last summer - the dry winter air really made continued use challenging. My skin was itchy, dry & looked so dehydrated. I was using heavy creams but was scared to try anything oily because I typically have oily, acne-prone skin. I trust the Mario Badescu brand so gave this a shot - I’m so glad I went for it!! A pea-sized amount at night is all I need, & while it feels greasy at first I wake every morning to soft, calm, grease-free skin. I’m not sure how it’ll work in the summer, but this will definitely be something I continue to use every night all winter!

Best for thirsty skin! This product is hard to beat. I’ve been using it for years now, and I swear by it. I honestly think it’s comparable, if not actually better, than Le Mer. Works great as a night cream and also under makeup!
