useful tool
i was impressed it trimmed prickly privit and a bush hedge tackled most but not thick branches .used on blackberry and it tackled easily so saved having to cut down with pruners also chopped nettles own and cut ivy down well. then tried grass cutter which went well cutting between pavement weeds and the pole saved on bending down . so all in all very good. battery was flat on arrival but once charged did well. the blades was easy to change too

Nifty bit of kit
I have a small patch of grass in my front garden that I was having to use a strimmer for. I hated having to bring in extension leads etc and would put off doing the job. I spent ages looking for a cordless tool and eventually settled on this though it was a risk as reviews were mixed.Well I absolutely love it! Was very easy to set up and simple to charge. It makes quick work of my patch of grass and is so easy to do it’s no longer a job I put off doing. One plus point is that compared to the strimmer it is so quiet! If I wanted to I could easily use it late in the evening without disturbing neighbours. I don’t have to dodge stones being kicked up by the strimmer and no more trailing extensions leads. It is very light and doesn’t seem particularly robust but I’ve been using it a few weeks now with no issues.

Pleasure to use and effective
This is a toolset combining a telescopic-pole grass and weed trimmer with a handheld shrub trimmer. They share the same body, motor, battery and charger, with different lengths of interchangeable blades. The shrub trimmer blades cut right-left, and the grass trimmer cuts as you move in a forward direction. It is well-designed, lightweight, effective, appropriately powered for its tasks, and comfortable to use for the length of the battery charge.I am fortunate to have a large, wild garden, with areas of grass, herbaceous plants, and woodland – developed on old farmland over decades, but still heavily subject to invasion by weeds. Until now I have used an elderly (like me) pole hedge trimmer (which cuts right-left) to cut out weeds like rosebay willow-herb, but (like me) that has recently been struggling to deal with this. I already have a heavy-duty Terratek telescopic hedge-trimmer, which is too heavy to use for this work, and have been impressed with it, so decided to give the lighter-weight toolset a try. I have not been disappointed – in fact, I have been delighted. The shrub trimmer is a pleasure to use and effective for light growth. Because the grass trimmer cuts moving forward, it is much easier to be selective when cutting out weeds in a border, and so lightweight it is also a pleasure to use. It cuts grass edges round a border effectively – although I think the purpose of the wheels on the carriage is simply to keep the blades off the ground. As I suspected, you are told in the instructions not to use the shrub trimmer with the carriage and pole.I am not mechanically minded and prefer text-based instructions to graphics, so figuring out how to assemble and disassemble the parts required some patience – but once you have the know-how, it’s straightforward. For use in appropriate circumstances, I would not hesitate to recommend this toolset.

An okay product - prepare to be underwhelmed.
It’s an okay product that’s useable straight out of the box, as I did. It’s a nice little tool for cutting the grass where your bigger mower can’t (or you don’t want it to) go, such as around plants or along borders and so on.The extension pole is a good idea, however it’s a little short. I’m just about 6 feet tall, and I’m having to stoop a bit while using it. It could do with a better connection to the wheels as well, as the screws that attach it kept working their way loose while I was using it, making the extension somewhat lopsided during use.The plastic wheels are a nice feature, and 70% of the time they work properly however I think they would have been better if they were a little bigger. At the moment the slightest bump in your lawn gets it stuck. It is light weight enough to simply pick up and move along, however bigger wheels would (in my opinion) make it that bit more useable.Battery life seems good so far. It has a handy led guide on the unit - it was on amber when I took it out of the box and it got nearly all the way around my garden and plants before needing a charge.Overall it seems a bit cheaply made, a bit plastic-y and almost thrown together at the last minute. A shame, as I own a Terratek drill that seems much sturdier. For gentle use it should be fine, just prepare to be underwhelmed.

How to remove extension handle
This is more of a query, I have had Terratek 2 IN 1 7.2V Telescopic Cordless Hedge Trimmer for just under a year, it is an excellent product, as is the Terratek cordless drill, which I have had for a few years, and it is still going strong! Best thing since sliced bread! My query about the trimmer is that when I received it, I fitted the extension handle, which has been on it since purchase, but when I tried to remove it today, I cannot!I went onto question on Amazon, where I followed the instruction, but when I search for the pin near the left hand wheel, blades facing away from me, I cannot find it, even looking with a powerful torch, There was a mention, by someone that screws had to be undone, is this correct and which ones?

Simply does not work
I bought this product in August 2023. Used it once on a Saturday in September 2023 and it was useless. It quite simply could not cut through the stems. The stems were from flowers like Clematis, Jasmine, Honeysuckle and Passion Flower (all not very thick stemmed plants). After that I went to put it on charge as per instructions thinking I will give it a go the next day but upon returning it was still flat but everything was correct in the way I should charge it.I have since tried to use it many times but to no avail it simply will not charge so I have now given up on it and wish to return it hopefully for either repair or replacement.
