What looks like a tube of stainless steel, but turns into a mercury-like fluid when held by (warm) hands?Melting point is in the mid-80's or so.A perfect, somewhat odd, gift, for a somewhat odd person.

The big kick on this is that it will melt in your hand. Maybe if you have 20 minutes. If you fidget with it or get your hand really warm ahead of time you might get a 5 minute melt. The other problem I encountered is that it doesn't solidify when the temperature drops. I had a blob on a cold granite counter for an hour and a half and it was still liquid. Nothing wrong with the product, just the physics of the metal at work. Put it in really hot water and you get a 30 second melt. Stains hands pretty bad but it washes out. It is very cool.

One vile arrived spilled in box. The other vile of material was swirling with impurities and still in liquid state at 70F. Remained a liquid until put in the freezer for 30 minutes. It is not gallium!

I have one question. Both vials were closed tight, and there were no cracks. There was a piece of metal kind of shaped like a tooth at the bottom of the bag that the vials were in. Is that gallium from the vials? The lids were closed good so how is there a piece of metal in the bag? I can't tell if it's gallium or another thing. It was just interesting, but my order was just as expected though and I'm very satisfied with the purchase!
