Passover: The Key That Unlocks the Book of Revelation

Tell me something I don’t know about Revelation
I was very disappointed with this book with one exception: “The Time Frame’ chapter at the end of the book written by Asher Intrater. Those few pages were excellent.I thought I finally had found a book with the correct perspective on the Book of Revelation: Point of view from the Old Testament, specifically the Exodus.Yes, the plagues are in Revelation and so is the song of Moses therefore I really thought the author would elaborate on either of these two hence the name: “…..”Passover, the Key that unlocks Revelation.”The book was filled with could haves, would haves, should haves, with just brief mentions of “Oh, btw, here in this verse it could be referring to this plague or that plague.” He didn’t even mention that the 24 Elders could be the ‘courses’ of the Levitical priesthood and the 24 priests who serve in the Temple.I guess he has never read any book by Joel Richardson which shows that Israel’s surrounding neighbors are the ones to be considered not Europe. Oh, well. The rest of the book covered facts that others have written in the past so I guess if one has never heard anything about the Book of Revelation, then this book is a good study guide but even in that it’s not because it’s not arranged as a guide or text book on Revelation. One very important statement he did make was about God’s calendar (the Hebrew calendar) and the Feast Days in Leviticus 23 being a key to the timing of the events but that was not enough to buy the book. What is worth buying the book is the last few pages by Asher Intrater. My conclusion is to not waste your money but pray that someone, sometime will be able to actually dig into the Book of Revelation and give us some insight to it from a Hebrew perspective.

Qualifier
This book has virtually nothing to say about any linkage between the event of Passover and the phenomena described in the Book of Revelation. It does present different facets of the Exodus as end-time foreshadows or symbols, and is an overall workman-like yet somewhat brief discussion of eschatology from a focused perspective. However the main body of this work is essentially silent about any clues that might be derived from the Passover in understanding the end of this age.[I was looking for material to support a Bible study on the topic of Jewish feasts and their significance, particularly how they point prophetically to Christ's prior or coming manifestations in this world. This sounded like a possible resource, hopefully to complement Edward Chumney's 'Seven Festivals of the Messiah'. Juster's main material didn't go anywhere near that line of discussion, however. Appendix II by Asher Intrater was worthwhile as a 3+ page snapshot of the significance of the feasts and would be worth his expanding.]Any consideration I had of giving this work a fourth star was lost on the numerous typos and editing errors, which detracted from the overall product.

I need to read this, again! It added much understanding to the allegorical aspects of the original plagues, and Passover, but, also to what it is pointing toward. It helps fill in gaps in understanding, which we all should pray for.

A most excellent account of the revelation.
I found the book very understandable. The theory that there most likely will not be a pretribulation rapture is a more plausable theory than the popular dispensationalist theory.

I would not recommend this to a casual reader
I would not recommend this to a casual reader. You need to be grounded in Christianity before you read it. Take time to check out the author.

Pre-tribulation rapture for believers in Yeshua?
Well-written; understandable. Pre-tribulation rapture? It's 2017 - increasing tightening down on believers in Russia, persecution in Indonesia, Viet Nam, Copts being murdered in Egypt, churches being burned in India, crosses being removed in China only to name a few. Fukushima disaster - the threat is growing instead of lessening & becoming dangerous to mankind. G-d have mercy! We will continue to study Revelation. The parallel with the exit from Egypt, of course, made sense.
