Seems to work well
Didn’t actually use since I fixed the issue with old one when I yanked the dash apart to replace. Tested while had plugged expose and seems to work fine. Watch out when installing for bending the bracket, which will cause a misalignment of the switch shaft and it doesn’t work until fixing that issue. Have in stock for when needed. Happy with purchase

Fixed my parking light issues
I am a DIYer but I usually don't mess with car stuff. However this was super easy and I now insert a humble brag into conversation about whenever I can (head nod). I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler and all my lights worked properly except my parking lights. Blinkers blinked. Headlights headed. Brake lights, you guessed it, braked. But parking lights just would not turn on. I checked fuses and bulbs themselves. Bought this puppy and changed it within 15 minutes (help from YouTube of course) and ZINGER we have all lights operating with accuracy and precision. Awesome price and I now have that experience I can put on my DIY resume, heck yeah!

Fit my 97 Jeep TJ great and works perfectly
I purchased this because the original headlight switch on my 97 Jeep TJ was worn out and making my headlights flicker. I already had my dash ripped apart, so it only took me a minute or two to install this switch. It worked like a charm and everything is functioning properly. The switch even engages and "feels" better than the worn out one did. I am very pleased with my purchase and loved that it cost me half as much as the local auto parts stores wanted for the same thing.

Works perfectly, but is not “tactile” between some settings
It works perfectly, and installed easily on my 99 TJ. Would have been perfect except that it does not “click” between some settings. Switching the interior lights on and off feels like one continuous motion rather than two distinct ones Because there is no “clicking” feeling signifying that a new setting has been reached, it just rolls…But works perfectly… Just not sure if purchasing a more expensive one would have provided that “tactile” feeling.

Buy it even if you don't currently need it.
When your headlights go out and you need this part, there's a good chance you wont be able to find it locally, Aside from paying $70 for overnight shipping, Amazon Prime's free shipping was the fastest I could get the part. If you own an old Jeep I would recommend spending the money to buy this part now, even if you don't need it. It's a common issue and eventually you're likely to need one and it will be nice to have it on hand.I just bought a '98 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0L and it has a lot of things that need to be fixed/replaced. The headlight switch was my first priority. I used a #2 Phillips head to remove the 2 screws for the dash and then for the 4 screws holding the metal brace underneath. Then I felt around on top of the headlight switch for the button to push to allow the knob to come out. Once the knob was out I inserted a #3 Phillips head in the hole where the knob was. It screws off and allows the headlight switch to come loose. Then I disconnected the headlight switch from the connector, pushing the tabs on both sides while trying to wiggle it loose. There is also a wire connecting to the top that you have to disconnect, this just pulls off easily. Then you just pop the new one in the connector, plug the wire back in, put the headlight switch back to the hole, put the screw in, screw metal brace on, screw dash on and then insert the knob.

JP Wrangler '99 - fitted
I bought as a spare part to my Jeep Wrangler 1999. I changed it (steps according written text in service manual), with little problem to find correct possition of pull rod due to slot for secure it (maybe 10 minutes). And switch working correctly. It's end of battery discharging. 8)

Good Switch
I purchased this switch based on the known quality of Standard products. I was skeptical to purchase this switch based on the reviews. I needed a switch and wasn’t going to buy an off brand and OEM was way too expensive. As for the switch, it is the same basic design that has been used for decades and used by all American car manufacturers (I have installed many). Contrary to most of the reviews, the detents (clicks from off to parking lights to head lights) are crisp. As for putting the switch knob back in, they are a bit difficult at times to catch, but that’s the way many of them are. Some catch right away some are a bit fiddly. All in all an easy job and a good switch. A side note, the same part number switch with the “T” suffix is Standard’s cheaper line. I don’t know the quality but for a little bit more $ get the better switch. I would recommend buying this switch.
