Community Troy and Abed Mug

This mug turned out to be even better than I hoped.My worry was that this mug would be one of those greenware, lightweight things. I got a Christmas mug last year (it looks like Santa Claus' head, kinda creepy now that I think about it, especially since the opening is on top, right where Santa would keep his brains) and it is super light, pretty and colorful but it feels lightweight, even when filled with cider or hot chocolate.Since it is a mug, I naturally assumed it could be microwaved. I burnt my hand, very badly actually, blisters and the kind of bright pink burn that seems to glow and radiate heat. The mug turned supernova in the microwave, turns out it can only be used for cold drinks, because even heating something in another container and then pouring it into the mug didn't work, the liquid turns cold very fast and the bottom of the mug is burning hot.Anyways, this Community mug is made of standard coffee mug material, whatever the heck that is. I guess I could look it up, but I'm feeling lazy today. The size is a lot bigger than I expected, it can hold almost two cups of coffee. Of if you are feeling in a Community celebrating mood, you could fill it with chicken fingers or free caesar salad or perhaps olives and leave it in the bathroom for a fancy party.Whatever floats your boat is what I'm saying. This is a great mug and a must have for the Community fan in your family. If the price had been a little lower, I would have bought two.

My daughter and I loved this show. We thought Troy and Abed in the Morning was hilarious. When I saw this mug, i had to get it for my daughter. I'd great quality and doesn't peel or fade like I thought it would. Definitely worth the purchase if you appreciate the theme.

This is a super sturdy mug that holds a lot of liquid, which makes it an awesome replacement for my previous go-to mug (the disappearing TARDIS mug from the Unemployed Philosopher's Guild.) The design isn't as flimsy and delicate as my TARDIS mug either, which makes cleaning worry-free. In fact, the design is glazed on rather than stuck on after firing the mug. I think my only qualm is that my coffee got cold pretty quickly, although since it's my first time using it ever I can't actually say if it's because of the mug or because I didn't notice the time slipping by. (Time flies when you're too busy staring at your brand new awesome mug, after all.) Only one of the previous reviews mentioned its microwaving qualities but I'll try it out anyway! It also came super quickly; I was expecting to get it a week after ordering, but got it within three days.Five stars for Troy and Abed!

For my detail-oriented commercial compatriots, I wanted to post some pics showing the current (June 2020) version of this mug.As you can see, the print stretches vertically down nearly the whole length of the mug. No big gap. Horizontally, it's the same print doubled up, wrapped around to be visible on both sides—yes, with a slightly different version of Abed's smiling mug (ha). He's less smiling and more smirking. I can deal with this. Why did they change it? Who knows.If you're truly persnickety, you'll notice that the print is horizontally juuuust a bit off-center. Which, if you're *really* detail-oriented, yeah, you'll notice it. BUT. Here's the thing. This is a made-up mug from a fake TV show, put on by fictional characters from a fake community college inside a TV show. It's actually more believable and authentic for it to be imperfect. If it were perfect, it'd be wrong. It's not wrong. It's great. Just look at Troy's face or Abed's face while you're staring at the 1/4" offset and try to be upset with those guys. You can't. It's impossible.In conclusion: 5/5, would drink coffee out of this mug every day.

I love this mug! I bought it for myself so I could have a reason to sing "Troy and Abed in the MORNING!" everyday I start my day with a cup of coffee. The print is high quality, and it is easily recognizable as the ones form the show. Easily one of my most favorite purchases to date.

Okay, if you're a geek about Community, this is an essential item! It's the exact same cup the dynamic duo cradle on their morning show. It makes you feel like you're sitting in Group Study Room F at 6AM talking about turtles. Yay! Okay, getting past the geek factor, it's a really well made mug. It's large, 16 oz, so you don't have to refill so often. It's a nice thickness and the graphics are good. I'd highly recommend it for both its quality and sentimental value.

Looks hand made, like it was a thing you print off and apply to the mug, with clearly cut out edges, but I am pretty sure that's what they were going for and it adds a nice touch considering the source material. It is high quality, however, and has remained in excellent condition through many hand and machine washings. The mug is slightly large, too, which is nice for holding extra coffee.

The mug is a good quality mug, so there's no issues with its ceramic quality or sturdiness. It is 4 and 1/2 inches in height/depth and a little over 3 inches in diameter. The only concern is with the design/image that was printed onto it. In the first pic I posted, you will see how they advertised the mug, with the design stretching down to about 1/4" (inch) from the bottom of the mug. When I received the mug, the design dimensions are actually much smaller, so that the design is about 1 and 1/4 inches from the bottom of the mug (see second pic). This also means there's a lot of dead (unused) space on either side of the mug handle (see third pic).Basically, this means that the design dimensions were not Long or Wide enough to fill the space on the actual mug. So, the designers made a sizing mistake with the design that they sent to the mug printers. I'm not sure if they're purposely trying to save expenses on the ink used per mug or what. But the customer is not getting the product that they advertised in the picture.The mug delivers from within the U.S. For this reason, I received it only 4 days after ordering it, using the cheapest shipping option that was offered (around $5.00). So, very fast delivery, and the product was well packaged for the trip!
