Yes, I do recommend this product to anyone..!
This is a great product for the price can't beat it, it does most of its functions and it gives you the ability to go a bit further then other scanners out there on the market today. If you need to get a bit technical with this product you need to pay an additional $99 dollars a month for additional functions like: How much it will cost for a repair to be done on certain vehicles, how long would a repair take, what type of procedures you need to take on certain repairs, technical support on any type of vehicle you may be working on...and if you need to save an additional (4) months you pay for the whole year a whopping $899. This will cover from diagnostics to schematics on any vehicle. Also any additional software that you don't have in your machine presently, it will range from $99 to $199 depending if they are running a special or not. Well I hope this will help out a little bit.Ps: This product it come with all the cables, and connectors to get the job done. Plus is upgradeable friendly for years to come.

Simple to use, Saves money
Works better than is expected. Comes with every connector needed. This scanner plugged right into my 2013 GMC truck. Easily connected, read the codes and stored them for later review. Simple, simple, simple. I later plugged it into my computer and the scanner took me to the website, i downloaded the program to let it talk to my computer and away I went. Work great out of the box, very little learning curve. By the way, once I fixed the mechanical problem the scanner cleared the code in seconds. My dealer wanted $200 just to diagnose the problem then more to fix it. I spent more than the $200 but saved on all future problems that of course will arise. The fix was fifteen minutes and would have cost $300 at the dealer because they do not need to be transparent and let you know the real problem. Get it, it works

GREAT CAR SCAN TOOL
OK, I have used this tool several times over the past few months since I got it and I have to say it is well worth the price. This car scanner tool has saved me several hundreds, and maybe even thousands of dollars, in repair bills. The Innova CarScan 31703 comes with a free month of diagnostic information from Innova that gives you detailed instructions, as well as videos, on how to repair issues with your vehicle based on the error codes you get. Furthermore, the Information tells you if there are multiple possible issues based on one or more error codes. For instance some error codes can be caused by many things this tool tells you in order where to start first and if thats not the issue it tells you where to go next and so on.Innova also offers specials on getting the extra connectors to read Asian (Hyundai, Kia, Honda, etc.), and German (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc.) at discount or even free.So simply put this tool is the best darn purchase I have made for my vehicle by far.The INNOVA CarScan 31703 will pay for itself the first time you use it. No more service center ripping you off. You will no the problem a head of time.

Vey easy to use! Great purchase!
I bought this scanner after reading as many reviews as I could find. Not all reviews were good. But most was. I received this about 3 days after ordering it. Very nice carrying case and also I like having the ability to check other makes of cars. I've only used the GM connector. This thing almost is automatic. I love it. I spent over 4 years chasing a ABS light on my 2002 malibu. I had taken it to the dealer four different times. Each time they would connect it to their scanner and tell me I had a bad front right wheel sensor/bearing assembly. Well two of the times I bought new wheel bearings. If anyone has done this you know it's not cheap. (187.00 each) plus the 90.00 to have it connected to their scanner. This time I used this scanner I bought (EPI 31703). Granted its not a miracle worker. But it only took me about 45 min from start to finish and I had figured out my four year old problem. It was a broken wire leading to the right front wheel bearing. Now the scanner did't say "broken wire". But with the code it gave me I was able to go straight to pro.innova.com/support and quickly found what I needed to help me figure out my problem. I only wish I had went ahead and bought one of these four years ago. One more thing, I also found out I had a bad oil pressure switch. This thing is awsome. Its so easy to use. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

This is a $7 scanner in a fancy package
I bought this under the impression it would be able to show me real time my coolant temp... Basically a thermostat display for my Prius. The Prius, the most popular car in CA the most populous state, does not have a thermostat display.Save yourself $40 and buy a cheap $7 obd2 reader. This is just a glorified version of an ultra cheap scanner. Basically only good for reading code numbers and clearing them. The emissions test red-yellow-green indicator light is only good for confusing you; it offers no explanation as to why it's not green.I got the impression from innova's description of "three color backlit LCD display" that this was a stylish permanent installation. But , it won't turn off when the car is turned off. And, again it doesn't do too much more than my cheap $7 scanner. This scanner does NOT come with an owners manual or even any type of quick reference guide for the dozen or so "monitors" it can read. Innova wants the buyer to go to their website for that. Lame! I'm in a very rural area and get limited cell reception and don't own a printer. I will definitely return this item.Complaints --would not run cel test in acc mode on any of my four cars, engine had to be running-reader would not turn off when car was turned off ( I want to use this as a perm installation )-would not display coolant temp-does not come with manual or any type of legend for the dozen or so monitors it displays
