Nice but wrong pattern.
I love the tagine. My dishes were tender & delicious. I seasoned it as instructed and it worked nicely. I used it in the oven and on cook top and had no problem with cracking or any other issue. I also "double seasoned" the tagine meaning I repeated the seasoning process twice before using. Also use tagine over low heat setting on cook top. It will heat evenly and fast so be careful you don't scorch or burn your food while cooking. As title states, I was sent a different pattern than the one pictured. I contacted seller to make aware; seller stated the pattern I ordered was out of stock so he sent another in place of it. I didn't want the hassle of re-packing and sending so I kept it. It arrived very well packed. My suggestion is if you really want a specific design/pattern make sure you tell the seller not to substitute item and to contact you so you can decide if you want to wait for item to be in stock or choose another design/pattern. Otherwise I was pleased with this purchase.Tagine may seem small to some. I'm able to cook 2 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with vegetables in this or a meal for 1-3 people depending on your appetite. I also serve couscous or rice with tagine meals thus making it able to feed 2-3. For 1 person you can be creative with the amounts. Also I don't use soap after I use the tagine. I use hot-warm water only and air dry. If seasoned properly food won't stick and clean up is fast & easy. The more I use it, the more I love it.

Sized for single portion cooking
The Tagine works well, although it's design allows for single portions. I overflowed the tagine and set fire to the grease/broth that released during cooking four good sized chicken thighs. So you may want to get a bigger one for family meals.

Excellent with some cosmetic imperfections!
I’ve made several main dishes with this Tagine since my recent purchase, including Lamb Stew. It makes the meat very moist, and harnesses flavor better than a normal pot. That said, here’s a brief review;> The pot arrived with about 2 inches under the top that wasn’t glazed. With handmade goods, Stuff like this reminds me of my item being unique.> The packaging was Great but a little over the Top..There was enough bubble wrap to properly secure a small car!> The overall artwork appeared to be done by a kid but Again, it makes the Tagine unique. I wasn’t expecting a Rembrandt design.> I seasoned the pot by; hand washing, adding a light coat of Olive oil all over, and baking it in the oven at 320 degrees for 2 hours.> when cooking, I placed the Tagine directly on Gas burners at low (Simmering) temperature. This is ideal, slow and low.Would I recommend this Tagine pot, Absolutely!

Well Built, Good size, Cooks Nicely, Cleans Nicely
I just finished my first meal out of this tagine and it came out great. I like the heavy and uniformly thick walls of this tagine because it gives even heat throughout cooking. The size is nice - just a bit smaller than ones in the brick and mortar stores around me making for easier storage and better suited to meals for two. Nice glazing on the pottery makes it easily wiped clean with next to no scrubbing.

ABSURD amounts of environmentally unfriendly packaging...
I'm going to have to give this product a single star because of the packaging. If you care about the environment, then I would strongly recommend that you do not purchase this item for this reason. I understand the necessity to protect the product, it is fragile, but this company has done so in the most environmentally unfriendly manner possible. Take a look at the images: I filled one standard sized grocery bag with the Styrofoam it shipped with, and gathered an insane amount of plastic – for such a small product comparatively. Plenty of alternative packaging methods exist, so I would recommend staying away from this company until they show greater responsibility/environmental stewardship.

Still it looks good and works properly
It had a few chips here and there. Still it looks good and works properly. For some reason is smaller than expected.

Great Tagine
I am writing this review after my wife & I have used this tagine for 3 months. We did have an initial setback when our tagine cracked during its first use. We had properly cured it & used low heat with a diffuser. Although it came well padded in the mail, I think it got damaged during transport. We contacted "Treasures of Morocco" & got a replacement base right away.Since then, we have cooked in it a dozen times with excellent results. The flavors just get enhanced. I will also give 5/5 stars to the sellers for excellent customer service. For best results with the initial curing, we recommend to fully soak the base & top in water overnight/24 hours, rub with olive oil & heat in the oven at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

Perfection In Moroccan Cooking
Perfect size tagine for 2-4 people, depending on appetites! You can really fill this up with all your ingredients. This is our second tagine so I am used to the soaking/baking before first use. It’s simple, not to worry. You DEFINITELY need a diffuser for your stove top. It doesn’t matter if you cook on gas or electric. Don’t forget to buy one. And purchase ras el hanout, wonderful Moroccan spice. I use it in most recipes. It’s a “must have”. I get it from Tara Kitchen (local restaurant where I live); she has a website for spices and sauces.
