What a great product!
Fits my 15" Long, 10" wide and 18" diagonal Asus GU-501gm laptop perfectly with at least 1/2" on both sides. Nice slim case. Holds my huge charging brick, mouse and cables perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

Roomy as hell.
This bag is the cats meow. It is wide and deep with enough pockets for all my gadgets and stuff. I needed a bag to carry my foldable grabber and a hygiene helper. Easy peasy for what I need it for. You won't go wrong with this bag.

Perfect for the Acer Aspire Ethos 8951G-9600
I can't begin to tell you how many hours I spent looking for a bag that would hold at laptop this large. I could not find any backpack that I trruly felt was a guaranteed fit. Let's face it, laptops with 18.4+ screens really are desk-top replacement computers (DTRs). My machine really won't be hauled around very much simply because it is so large, I have a 15" laptop for trips, but I did still need a carry case. The Everki Advance is nothing fancy to look at. Rather plain in fact, but you really don't want to advertise that you are carrying an expensive computer in what could easily pass as a canvas briefcase. The laptop compartment is top loading. The case does NOT open up clam shell style. The opening is sufficiently wide enough that it is easy to access. Unless you laptop is grossly thick, there is also room in that compartment for papers or folders but there is not a separator such as a nylon barrier that would keep any additional items from rubbing against your laptop. The zipper is high quality with adequately sized metal sliders with built in locking loop. This compartment is sufficienty padded, but I wish computer bag makers would put double padding across the bottom and the near bottom sides of bags. Come on, that's where the impact will most likely happen. I will probably find some dense foam and create my own extra layer of bottom cushion. One side of the case has a zip open storage compartment that has five pockets for organizing small items as well as two pen slots. This compartment could be used for USB drives, external storage devices, power brick, etc. It opens up very wide, not access problems at all. Then on the front side of the storage compartment there is a scoop slot pouch with a partial velcro closure that would be used for rapid access items. Perhaps a cell phone, car keys, passport, plane ticket, etc. The opening alone for this pocket is 9-1/2 inches wide, but the usable interior dimensions of this slot pocket are 12 inches deep and 15 inches wide. Everki did not waste space with this Advance Laptop Bag.The interior and compartments are lined with an orangish nylon. It's not neon orange, but rather a brick-orange. I don't find this annoying, rather in dim lighting the orange coloring helps me find thinks that otherwise might be difficult - like trying to find a small black USB drive in the bottom of an all black lined compartment. The carry handles are a soft point. While they are strongly attached, the bridge of the handles are too soft and flexible. A more rigid design would actually be more comfortable to hand carry. But when fully loaded, few people I would think will actually hand carry a heavy 18.+ laptop and all their gear. Thus the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap anchor points on the bag itself are strongly anchored, in fact rivited, and the fixtures are solid metal - NOT plastic. Thank you Everki for the metal parts. The shoulder strap clips and hardware are also solid metal with a great feel and they don't appear as if they would accidentally be unclipped when attached. Not difficult to operate, but certainly secure. The strap is wide enough to match the bag and be able to carry the load and across the shoulder area itself is a curved ergonomic shoulder pad, another nice touch. I loaded up the bag and walked around for half an hour and yes it was heavy, but not uncomfortable.Lastly, on the back side of the bag, opposite the accessory compartments, Everki has cleverly installed a sturdy 1-1/2 strip of straping with a 10 inch gap centered. That gap is for sliding the handle of wheeled luggage through. When not is use, the gap strap is held down with a 2 inch piece of velcro. Nice touch! Fits perfect on top of my American Tourister rolling carryon.Overall, I am glad I found this bag. I set high standards and I like to project a quality image about myself, and this bag does nothing to reduce my image even as it really is pretty much simple and utilitarian. If you're in the 18.+ screen laptop arena, you're choices of bags are currently limited. I can recommend this one with no reservations.5-Stars, October 2011

Well constructed and good for large laptops/desktop replacement
Please keep in mind I have only had the bag for a week and I will add additional updates.Searching high and low for a large carrying case for my Acer Helios 500 (16.9 x 1.5 x 11.7" almost 9lbs) finally brought me to two choices: a backpack and this one. I went with the latter since, at my age, walking into work with a large backpack looking like a 5 year old on their first day of school was out of the question. The pockets are sufficiently large and still have a little extra room for my computer in the main compartment. I am also able to fit the power brick, mouse and a game controller with no bulging issues in the zippered side or secondary pocket. While I don't have large over-sized headphones I do believe they would fit with no problems. One complaint is that the pockets for pens, small items and USB drives is of a very thin nylon material and the quality does not seem to be as good as the rest of the bag. I can see the stitching of this area coming undone very easily after some extended use.I do like the velcro pocket on the front of the bag. The pocket itself is as large as the font flap of the bag and provides quick access to anything that you might need in a hurry, such as your phone, wallet or maybe even a tablet. The padding is excellent, although because of the large size and weight of the computer that I have, I doubt the bag would protect it from a fall. However, an occasional light bump into a table or door frame the bag should be able to easily protect the computer. The handle is stitched well and, so far, are showing no immediate signs of fraying or tearing. The clasps are made from a lower quality metal and I can see them failing eventually (due to the aforementioned weight of my particular laptop) but get the job done for now.Overall the bag is worth the money and should fit most of the larger laptops/desktop replacement computers. I hope that in the long term it will live up to my initial rating.UPDATE 02/14/2019: I have purchased a pair of Logitech G430 headphones and found that they do fit rather snugly in the secondary or side pocket (along with the other items listed previously). I know that these are probably not the largest headphones out there so other individuals may have a tough time finding the room for all of their items. This is not constitute a reduction in my rating, it is just a circumstance of my particular setup. A smaller pair of headphones or earbuds would still fit easily with no issues.

Fantastic computer carrier
My laptop easily fits inside and the outer pocket holes the charger cord for my laptop as well as my personal and my work cell phones. There’s even room for more if necessary including small pen pockets.Great purchase!

Had one for 7 Years
Had one for 7 years, every day to the office. Zipper finally went. Bought another one. It is just the same. I imagine it will last me another 7 years.

Tight fit
I purchased this item because someone else mentioned in their review that it would hold a standard keyboard. While it does hold it, it is a very tight fit. Surprised there was not an additional pocket in the main compartment.

Very good bag, but Amazing Customer Service.
First of all I have to mention that initially I had received this bag with the entire system that holds the bag (strap hooks, D-rings ...) made completely out of plastic. Therefore could not use this bag as I was afraid my 16 inch (16") laptop would be too heavy and break the plastic hooks of the strap holding the bag on the shoulder. As well I could not returned it, as it would have cost me probably 40% or 50 percent from the initial cost of the bag, as I live in Denmark. So you could simply say I kind of throw it away in the closet somewhere. But then, from Self initiative, the Everki Customer service, based on my feedback, decided to send me a completely new bag (free of charge), also having the strap hooks and D-rings made from metal. In other words now I have the bag that I ordered and it's safe to use.A company that goes the extra mile in making sure their customers are satisfied with the product they bought.I definitely recommend Everki brand, not just for the quality of the bag but also for the manner the Customer Service deal with their customers. They have changed my perception towards this brand and In the future I would definitely consider the Everki brand.

Well-sized and comprehensive storage possibilities
The case offers several storage areas; the main zipped section is partitioned for a tablet or ultrabook plus a keyboard or a second device and the zip pullers interlock and are pierced to accept a small padlock. There is a smaller zipped organiser pocket on the front with a large mesh pocket for leads, accessories etc and two for pens or styli, another for a mobile phone or something of similar size and a larger DVD-sized pocket. At the extreme front is another smaller pocket sealed by a small Velco tab that could house a mains adapter & lead, provided that they are not too bulky.A loop has been included at the rear to slip over a trolley handle and is also centrally secured by a small Velco tab for some security. Carry handles are fixed and fairly comfortable and a removable shoulder strap with pad is also provided. The padding is reasonably substantial although the divider in the main section is not itself padded to prevent two devices bumping into or rubbing against each other in transit. For its size, the bag appears rather expensive although there is sometimes a premium to be paid as the device gets smaller, especially when it comes to tablets and ultrabooks. The bag will accept any device up to the stated maximum and will therefore suit some of the larger 10-inch tablets that defeat cases any smaller than this.

Easily fits Alienware M18x
I bought this bag for my Alienware M18x, and was not disappointed. The Alienware M18x (18.4") is one of the biggest laptops you can buy, and it fit perfectly well in this bag - not too tight, but very secure. It also has room for the giant AC adapter without leaving a giant bump, as well as a mouse and a few other things. If you have a large laptop and are not sure that it will fit in this bag, just know that it fits the Alienware M18x perfectly fine, so you can compare your laptop size to the M18x and see if its bigger/smaller.The bag doesn't look too fancy (which is good), and is orange on the inside so you can easily locate little things you may have dropped in there, as it will stand out against the orange lining. The quality and stitching of the bag is excellent, I have used it a couple of times and it has not given up, no signs of wear or tear, I am confident it will not break. One small negative point for me (may not apply to you) is that the laptop compartment doesn't open all the way, sometimes making it a bit difficult to remove the laptop from the bag. All this means is you will spend a couple of seconds more trying to remove it from the bag, no big deal.I would definitely buy this bag again.

Fits a Dell XPS 18
Bought this to transport my Dell XPS18. The XPS is like a massive tablet, fully portable, but designed for home use. The problem is Dell don't make a case to carry the device and all the gear that goes with it.This bag is a perfect fit. I can now take the full kit away with me, including keyboard, mouse & power with room for an external drive DVD player & WD My Passport drive and assorted cables. I can even take an Ipad air easily.Only concern is the power button for the XPS is easily activated, but that is due to its position, it would be an issue in any case.Arrived on time and Amazon provided accurate tracking info.

Good messanger bag for large laptops
I use this for my alienware 174r laptop which fits comfortably inside. The bag has a relatively slim profile given it's size. The whole bag is well made, I particularly like the large metal clips on the strap. I used this bag to transport my large laptop from London to Sydney by placing it in my checked in bag. Then I simply took it out and boarded my domestic flight with it. This made maximum use of weight allowances with minimum hassle. Walking around the airport I came to appreciate the strap being well secured. When I'm not using that strap I simply unclip it and it fits easily in the front Velcro sealed pocket so I don't lose it.
