The best way to play Armada.
I have never had interest in competitive Armada, this is module gives you such a great sense of context for all of your fleet battles, actual reasons for fleet engagements. We just played with the Objectives listed on the map (normally you'd also have +3 objectives for each fleet) and the variety of mission was incredible. Each was very different. On top of that, having the context of the sector map with resources made choosing your site important. The Commander XP is very forgiving, with the losing side often gaining 2XP while the Winner gained 1XP. This kept things balanced and it didn't feel like either side could run away with the campaign. After playing a few rounds at 250 points, you get the chance to engage in a massive battle. The smaller 250pt battles made it easy to play a match in a couple hour, while the epic battles too far longer.

Good Expansion
Good expansion to the game. These campaign plays with smaller fleet sizes and would be a great addition to have when players are ready to move beyond point match games.

Happy to add to my Armada collection but the box itself had all its corners damaged . Either an older product lying on a shelf from the seller or poor handling in transit. Dissapointing but its the expansion and cards inside that matter.

PSA: THIS IS NOT STAR WARS ARMADA REBELLION IN THE RIM!
This is not Star Wars Armada Rebellion in the Rim expansion. I have twice returned this product and twice been sent some stupid game called 'Patchwork'. This annoyance is unwarranted and unneeded. I'm now gonna have to scour hobby and game stores for what I want.
