Black Metal Strongest Motorcycle Dirt Bike Helmet Quick Release Helmets Chin Strap Buckle

I bought this for my Arai helmet even though it has a fairly tight loop holding the D rings. It was impossible to install the product as-is, but I was impressed with the quality and really wanted to make use of it, so I took a leap of faith and removed the D rings with some bolt cutters. It was very simple to install after that, and this buckle is my new favorite mod. I adjusted it once and it's comfortable to wear, feels secure, and it's easy to connect and remove with gloved hands. Why manufacturers selling $800+ helmets don't include a simple buckle like this is a mystery, but installing this product made my great helmet much better. Another benefit is, when you're not wearing your helmet you can snap the straps together and have a secure handle to carry it. Note: I don't encourage anyone to modify their helmet in order to install this, but for me it was worth the risk as it worked out great.

This product made putting my helmet on so much easier/more convenient. I ride in a state that does not require helmets by law but after being in a motorcycle wreck back in back in 2019 in my helmet, saving my life. I try to wear a helmet every time I ride. The problem I faced was the hassle of every time I want to put my helmet on having to take the time to thread the strap through the double loop closure taking extra time and usually just making putting a helmet on less convenient, causing me to just decide not to a lot of the time. After I bought this product and installed it onto my helmet straps, which installation was super simple and cutting of the helmet trap was not needed by cutting off the old double loop fastening set up just made it more convenient. Now, putting on my helmet before I go ride is super easy and takes no time at all making me wear my helmet more often. The buckle system remains tight and doesn’t loosen up easily so my helmet stays secure well the size of both sides allows me to easily clip and unclip my helmet, even while wearing thick leather gloves. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make wearing a helmet more convenient and simple and might make you wear your helmet more often and in turn possibly saving your life

This thing is awesome. Within five minutes of opening the package, I had it installed on my helmet (Shoei GT Air). I left the D rings intact, but they were only a minor inconvenience while bunching the strap loop into the cutout on the female side of the clip. My helmet has about an inch of loop. (The product description refers to how many pencils you can fit in the loop. I don't own a single pencil, but the inch between the loop stitching and end of the loop is plenty for the standard clip.) I read comments about a lack of directions. This thing is so obvious, that directions are irrelevant. My shoes didn't come with instructions on how to tie them, and as simple as tying shoes is, the installation of this clip is even easier. The positioning is prefect for me as well. I have a significant beard, so using D rings is almost impossible to do without getting hair caught. This clips simply, can be done with gloves, and is not at all uncomfortable. I don't like logos on things, and was a bit concerned about the Ryde Wear label. (No offence to Ryde Wear--i don't like logos on anything!) Turns out that the logo is on a sticker which easily peels off, with easily removable adhesive. There is a sticker on either side of the female clip, but they're both easy to remove. Bottom line: this thing installed in a breeze, looks great, feels great, is easy to use, and appears to be super strong. I'm probably going to order another for my spare passenger helmet. I may even cut off the D rings. I will never use them again on this helmet!

Much better than messing with D-rings and snaps! Nice aluminum buckle and super easy install. After confirming the buckle works and adjusting everything just right, I cut off the D-rings (no going back!). I don't see any reason to keep them, but you can leave them on. They would just be extra weight and in the way. Then I used Vice Grips to crush the little red snap off. I also carefully cut off the piece of webbing with the other red snap. I also removed the little Ryder Wear decals, just because. This is not advice, just what I did to mine. Now I can release and buckle the helmet strap with a my gloves on!!! FAST! Click on / click off!!! I'm sure the OEM helmet makers have liability issues with supplying these fast-action buckles. But I feel very confident that it's NOT coming off by accident. Plus it will be easier (I hope never) for EMT's to remove the helmet. I also know that I can find these same exact buckles for less, bandsaw the same slot and make my own. But why, this was faster and easier. 100% recommended. If anything changed, I will update!
