These really work! We have some of the hardest water in the country and most everything fails at controlling mineral deposits, scale, and the white residue that eventually destroys anything that our water touches. I use these in an ultrasonic humidifier and the difference with them in the tank, compared to without them in the tank, is very noticeable. Knowing how hard our water is, I popped both capsules into the tank. The white dust problem caused by ultrasonic humidifiers was the first thing that I noticed wasn't as bad as before the capsules. There is still some white dust but it has been decreased by at least 60%-70%. The other noticeable improvement was how it handles the hard water in general, the scale, minerals, and calcium in the water itself that will kill any device that uses water this hard. What this product does is pretty cool! It looks like these minerals are basically "Clumped Together" in larger clumps that settle on the bottom of the tank and the bottom of the humidifiers water channels. By doing this, you can easily just flush out those large clumps from the tank and the inside of the humidifier without having to use stuff like Lime Away to scrub it away. Nothing is going to magically make those minerals just disappear, as they are a part of the water itself, but by doing it this way, the minerals can easily be cleaned out by just doing a really good flush job of the water tank. Plus, there is no smell of any kind from these capsules and they seem to last for 3 or 4 months at a time. All in all I highly recommend these for anyone using hard water in appliances such as humidifiers. You will not skip the need for a regular cleaning of your humidifier, but it's going to be a lot easier cleaning it if you have these awesome little capsules in the tank helping with your hard water problems!!

I used one filter from the 2 pack, and it didn't do the job; I still got white dust on the furniture wood. I put the second filter in the humidifier and waiting to see how that works. Next time I buy a humidifier that comes with a filter. The company stopped making filters for the humidifier I have.

Had to clean my humidifiers at least once a week it seems for the last year or two every winter to keep them running well. I was soaking the units in vinegar to clean it out to get a good steam flowing. After I found these, I plopped these in and the humidifiers ran great for the whole winter. Kept a great steam without having me to clean them. Definitely recommend these!!

When I used the first capsule it was fine for about 5 hours before it turned all the water in the bottom of the unit white and then the white liquid began seeping out around the dial of the machine.Assuming that the machine was faulty I got rid of it, but also tried the second capsule in a pitcher of water before adding it to the new machine. White grit appeared in the pitcher within a few hours. Given that the packaging indicates that the water should remain clear I'm not sure what the issue is, whether I received a bad batch or what but I was extremely dissatisfied and won't be buying them again.

Moderately helpful in reducing white dust. Still replaced the electrostatic humidifier with a warm mist humidifier and Eli I acted the the problem.

So far this has been great! No white dust, but I have only used it for about a week so hopefully it will last a long time.

This humidifier tank demineralization capsule does absolutely nothing to clear up the problem of white powder in the air and on my furniture. This product does not make my little room humidifier run cleaner. Very disappointing. Not able to reach the manufacturer by using the service email address on the package. Response I received is " no such address". I'm sorry to say this was a waste of money.

We have extremely hard water and filters get crusty and moldy within a few days. I put one of these filters in, and my filter stayed good for over 3 weeks.Definitely saves me money.
