More "medium" duty, but still a great cart.
I purchased this cart to haul a portable furnace that I use for heating my barn/workshop. Fully fueled it weighs 542 lbs. I cut a piece of 1/2" BC plywood to fit the deck to help better distribute the load. It handles this without any problems. For me, the thing that allowed me to give it 5 stars instead of 4 is the price ($99). Yes, it is not as heavy-duty as many of the other carts that are available, but it is from 1/3 to 1/2 the cost. So far, it has been the perfect fit for my needs. I agree that the construction is not perfect, nor are the materials heavy gauge steel, but the design is functional and sufficient for most light to medium duty tasks. It isn't designed to allow me to pull it with my tractor, fully loaded over rough terrain, long distances, but it should move 550 lbs a hundred yards or so a few times a year pretty well. I would recommend adding lock washers to the 5 wheel bolts that hold each of the wheel halves together and checking them occasionally to make certain they are tight. Putting a little light grease in the steering pivot points would also extend the life and free the steering under load a little. The handle design I received is different from the one pictured. Mine has a coupling in the middle, held together with a hitch pin. If you remove the coupling, it exposes a flat hitch that is common for pulling carts with a lawn tractor. Again, it isn't super heavy-duty and would likely not hold up to heavy load towing, but it is functional. Load this cart appropriately and it will work well. Overload it and like some of the other reviewers have observed, it will break down.

Complete Garbage
I simply wish I did not buy this sight unseen. The build quality is just garbage. The mesh wasn't properly installed at the factory so I had to weld it down on one side myself (of course I had to first sand away the coating so now I have I have to recoat it with something so it doesn't rust). The tires are held on by cotter pins (seriously!?!?!). Because of that there's a lot of extra space so I had to go out and get some washers to fill the gaps (which weren't all the same so I needed different thicknesses of washers to mix and match). I had to grease just about everything to keep the squeaks down. The front end handle design attached to the front axle is a joke! The steer bar is allowed to slide up and down on it's pole causing a horrible scrapping/squeak sound that not even grease can fix. I'm going to have to find something to wrap around it to keep that noise down. I also expect it to break at some point in time under stress.(why am I so worried about noise? Because I don't want to be "that guy" hauling his ez-up/chairs/soccer equipment across the field that all of SoCal can hear me coming). As with everyone else the box came completely trashed. The UPS driver had to come back and finishing delivering it after he found parts sliding around the inside of his truck. Some pieces came bent so I had to fix those. The picture for this item is a LIE! That handle is not one straight piece. The handle comes in two pieces with a ridiculously HUGE metal box in which to connect the two pieces. It almost looks as if it was designed to remove the handle and attach the cart to the back of something else like a.....I dunno, a golf cart or small truck. Something you'd see around a nursery. It wouldn't be "that bad" had the connection not been a complete joke and just wobbled around all over the place. So as I'm pulling the cart that connection just clanks around up and down with every step. The other lie is the wheels. The picture does NOT show wheels held on by cotter pins. Why didn't I simply return it? Well, most of these issues weren't known until after assembly. Also, I DID TRY to return it except UPS would not accept the unit in it's original packaging. Go figure, it's good enough to deliver completely trashed but they won't take it back trashed.I suggest no one buy this until they see it in person to determine if it's ok for them.

Overall, a Great Cart!
The cart seems to be very sturdy, with good wheels and a padded handle wrap. I would agree that the packaging was not that great and that some items, such as the wheels, axles, etc. were not secured in any fashion, but rather just found laying at the bottom of the cardboard box in a pile. In some ways, I was happy that it came in only cardboard with NO styrofoam, making it more environmentally friendly. The smaller hardware DID come packaged nicely in plastic/cardboard packaging and everything was included (no missing parts). There was some minor damage to the cart (a couple of slightly bent pieces and dinged up a bit), but, then again, it's designed to haul gardening supplies, etc., so I can easily overlook this minor damage. The reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars is the poorly written instructions/diagrams, which had me scratching my head a few times. The text is small, especially on the parts list, which contains numbers of each part that are barely legible, yet are necessary to follow the assembly instructions. It was also poorly worded overall with only two small illustrations to show approximately a dozen steps necessary to assemble. TOOLS REQUIRED: You will need a socket wrench set as well as an adjustable wrench and it is helpful to have two people to assemble, although it can be assembled by one -- just a little more challenging. Also, the front wheels rotate (or swivel), but it is important to note that you should not tighten those two screws too tightly!I plan to modify this cart for hauling a 5-person pedal boat down the road to the nearby lake . . . and I think it will work out nicely for that purpose. I can certainly see this cart having MANY uses for gardeners or anyone having to haul heavy equipment, such as band equipment, video equipment, etc.

Box was almost destroyed the instructions were terrible and it was missing parts I decided to make due and now I've ruined the steering and bent all surrounding parts. Cart deck seems to be fairly well built i had approximately 600lbs on it and it appeared ok but all supports for axles need reinforced
