VIOFO A129 Dash Cam 5GHz Wi-Fi Full HD 1080P Dash Camera with GPS

Product was dead easy to install, good length of cable. Comes with a tool to help hide the cable, cable clips if needed and spare adhesive pads should they be needed. It is lightweight but robust with a quality feel to it. Easiest to set it up using a phone app as you can see the live view to make sure you have the camera angle right and also have the full menu to adjust the camera settings. Took the card out and plugged it into my iMac and played it back using the Nextbase app, I was extremely pleased with the picture quality. Would most definitely recommend this over a Nextbase dash cam.

I running 4 of this, company vans and personal car. Already proven 3 accident, all of them was someone rear ended me in traffic. Peace of mind, nobody can insurance scam you. Some insurers may give discount too. Well worth the money. Reliability is outstanding, picture quality is very good. Also using capacitor instead of battery is a very smart move.

**UPDATE** So good I have bought a second one for my wife’s car. So I had an early version of this Dash Cam in my car for a few years and as I do a lot of mileage, I wanted to upgrade to a WiFi enabled one. That way, if I ever wanted to keep a video, I wouldn't have to keep removing the card. For some reason, I bought a product from Amazon based on price and the fact it was WiFi. That was the wrong decision. The WiFi was shocking and the overall quality of the camera was bad. So this went back to Amazon with a refund and I went back to what I know. This is not the cheapest option out there, but. it is worth every penny. Easy to instal and set up. The picture quality on the A129 isn't that far short of the 4K version, so I stuck with a 1080p model. The app and the WiFi is brilliant. Instant connection and all the camera options can be set from the App. Yes, there are cheaper dash cams around, but this is every bit as good (if not better) than the offering from the likes of Garmin. I know most people won't have heard of Viofo, but check out there website. They really are a very professional outfit and I would highly recommend this dash cam to anyone.

Bought this for the event detection parking mode what a big mistake all wired in with the viofo hardwire kit most of the time when i turn the car off it does not go into parking mode if it does go into parking mode it works a passing car will trigger it and it records if you tap it the g-sensor triggers an event and records it but then after about 15 min the thing just shuts down no power supplied to camera I have it set on the lowest battery setting even with a new fully charged car battery it turns off great if your car get hit within 10 min of turning it off I think I will be removing it and sending it back

A great little Dash Cam but was disappointed that the recipient of this gift had to buy a memory card before use. It should be made clear that the camera cannot operate without this additional purchase.

I’ve owned a few dashcams over the years and this is by far the best one I’ve owned. Great image quality and a nice shape too which fits unobtrusively at the top of the windscreen. Forget the major branded ones and get this.

A great update from the A119 that I used to have with the addition of WIFI access, iPhones may work perfectly but the app for Android is a struggle in getting connected to the camera, it only goes past the Android wifi settings IF you use the hamburger menu to start openVPN, once that is selected the camera comes up straight away. Not sure if this is down to the app or Android 13

I just purchased this camera to connect my already installed rear camera looking at first picture. The R looks like for rear camera hole. But it is not. There is no photo of the other side. I have rear camera with cable needs audio 3.5mm in put but this camera need Mini USB for input of rear camera! I asked to return the product. After communication with the seller they accepted return request. But I need to pay return shipping for first time in Amazon. I always buy product looking at photos & description & avoid to return. Rarely return item! But for this return it took too long & had to pay return shipping which is acceptable. You should show the product image from all the sides to make clear decision to buy the item!

Acheté et installé à la place de la Auckey, elle est d'aussi bonne qualité, je ne rajouterai rien de plus que ce que j'avais écrit pour cette dernière. Un peu de mal pour trouver le menu quand même. Par contre, le Wifi avec l'application dédié Viofo, fonctionne parfaitement bien qu'un peu lent. Bref, très bonne dashcam.

He tenido otros pero este es extraordinario, la imagen es clara y nítida; genial, fácil de instalar y de gestionar, el único pero por poner alguno, el manual, que está en inglés..

After having tried many different dash cams, including the expensive BlackVue devices, I keep going back to the VIOFO A129...! The video quality is great (definitely recommend to include the polarizing filter), installation pretty simple and have not come across any other devices that beat the A129 at this price-point. I especially like how the camera mounts on the GPS unit, which makes removing and installing the unit a lot easier than many of its competitors. Absolutely recommend...!
