Straight replacement
This was a straight replacement for an existing unit which had worked for several years without a problem. Sun rain and other climate conditions causing it to finally fail.

Functional
These can make a bit of a noisy squeak as the pressure is reduced but works well and the sound seems to reduce if there is a multi connection to something like a hosereel

Does the Job with a Few Drips Initially
This unit was to replace an existing Hozelock Pressure Regulator which had failed and was leaking from the seals. Relatively easy to fit directly to the black 13 mm supply hose (I warmed the hose to make it easier to insert the regulator) and very easy with a Hozelock adaptor to fit directly to the watering timer outlet.Initially the regulator does drip quite a bit from the vent hole but as it was inside the garage with a concrete floor I was not too concerned (a wet car produces considerably more water on the floor!) However I did put a small container underneath to check just how much was dripping. After a few days it stopped dripping and I removed the container and the floor remained dry.Does the job intended f not allowing mains pressure to enter the watering system.

Perfect
Bought this to replace a more expensive unit that failed after 3 months, simple to fit and does what it says, if it lasts a season I will be very happy
