*SO STRONG* AMAZING!
I recently bought an 'N42' magnet from a competitor, and it was terrible. The 'pull weight' was supposed to be something like 87 lbs with a dead lift weight of 8 - the thing could not even lift a 12 oz set of shears and I had no trouble separating it from an n40 that easily lifts a 2lb dumbell. Now this...wow! It lifted a 5lb dumblee with no sweat! SO STRONG! If thats what you need, get it - but be careful. I inserted it into a homemade shoulder brace and the other neodium magnets zipped over so fast they shattered! So be careful of its strenght. Also - I left it a few uiches from my computer, and the fans stopped working and I got weird images on the screen. So keep it away from sensitive electronics (they were fine once I moved the magnet away)

... very strong magnet that will do the job for pretty much anything you need a magnet for
This is a very strong magnet that will do the job for pretty much anything you need a magnet for. Unless you need an ultra strong magnet to lift a very heavy object this is a great, small and powerful magnet. For the prie you can't beat this magnet. This magnet will do the job for anyone that needs a magnet for catching metal things that got stuck some where you can't reach or anything around the house grabbing anything that's metal. The only reason you would need a stronger magnet is if you used magnets for your job, or trying to attract very heavy metal items, but I use it just in case there are things around the house or in my car that this magnet can attract so I don't have to reach into small spaces to try to get change in my car that fell beneath the seats or any other metal items I would have a hard time reaching. To me it's a great item that's very cheap to have around the house or in you car for those metal objects that get trapped or if you just like to play with magnets, this one is smaill but very powerful, so again. I'd recommend this item to anyone.

Very strong, nice

Not as strong as people suggest.
It's a good magnet and will do just fine for my needs. I'm surprised at some reviews saying how strong it is and that it's dangerous. Maybe around another magnet but by itself I don't see myself 'losing a fingertip'.

Stronk.
Good. Sticks. Bad, sticks. No stick plastic, only stick iron. Watch fingets, sticks iron through fingers. Ouch.

Very powerful. Not a toy, read all safety labels, have a plan for a safe place to store it.
So far so good. I read most of the warning labels when I bought it but I didn't read everything (glad it came with a print out which I did read). I've like toying around with magnets much smaller and often in a housing or shell for control. There is no safety feature on this. It is not a toy. But the product I bought was exactly as described, I just didn't read all the warnings and that is my fault. I'd like to have it around to experiment with stuff but honestly it is a little difficult to store. Don't hold it in your hand and get near iron or another magnet, it seems strong enough to break fingers if it isn't spinning. It is impressively strong.

Works perfectly for my application
What was that application? To hold a hex socket to a metal plate. Why? To put a brass tube in the socket. Why? To mount a cheapy digital microscope head on the brass tube. Why? To do fine soldering work and be able to move that head anywhere on the metal plate to suit where it was needed rather than the fixed plastic base that came with the microscope. But as pointed out. BE CAREFUL!!! This thing is STRONG and has no problem crushing little fingers or nabbing ferrous materials that get too close!

powerhouse magnet
The 5-star rating may be a little premature. I bought this magnet to use on the metal canister oil filter on a Ford Powerstroke diesel engine. The thought being that this magnet would give the same benefit of capturing metal shavings that the Filter Mag gives. But at a greatly reduced cost. The magnet grips well and is hard to remove from the metal oil filter canister. I am somewhat concerned about that as these rare-earth magnets are known to be brittle. I have used smaller magnets that fractured rather easily. I have yet to cut open a filter to see if there are any metal shavings captured on the inside canister wall where the magnet is located on the outside of the canister wall. That is why the 5-star rating is a bit nebulous. I am not worried about losing this magnet. It is powerful.
