t100 stan and knife enthusiast
Okay so i love The 100 and Lexa, I’m also a knife enthusiast and a “prepper”. This means I’m always ready for praimfaya, stans. As a prop from The 100 this knife is unparalleled, because it’s the exact same knife Lexa uses in the show. The only thing better than buying this on Amazon would be to own the knife that ADC herself used on set.As a fixed blade knife, it seems sturdy to me. As always blades could do with some sharpening when you receive them. I personally don’t think it’s actual Damascus steel, it looks etched to me, but that’s not an issue I find compromising especially for the very reasonable price. Is it full tang? I couldn’t tell you without destroying it. I’m no master bladesmith and if I was I’d be making my own knives. I’m also not a professional knife inspector. Do I think it’s good enough for a BOB? possibly. I live by a standard that each person should hold all of their tools in a high regard. I think you have to admire your weapons to treat them best. If you think this is the knife you would treat best and that you would use the most then go for it. I haven’t stress tested it and don’t plan to, it’s not my main blade in my bag, just a secondary precaution. I wouldn’t go hacking trees with it, that’s for sure. The handle is nice, I don’t think it will break easily. The only issue I could see arising is the the tang, because I don’t know if it’s good or not. FYI the blade is only sharp on one side, not both and it comes oiled. The sheath is okay quality. The knife fits well in it but the stitching on the back is a little lazy or iffy? It could hold up to some use but it’s not pretty on the back. The front is beautiful.I’m going to sharpen it up a little and I fixed the sheath to the waist strap on my BOB, because it’s intimidating and will work fine as one of my self defense options.Be warned that the knife is SHARP, it’s just not as sharp as I would LIKE. It WILL cut you and you bleed red not black.

Solid, heavy, well built but NOT a real Sgian Dubh
This is not a true Sgian Dubh - those types of knives are not nearly as large or as heavily constructed as this one is. What this is, basically, is a large, heavy bladed needle point bladed dagger with one razor sharp flat ground edge and a nicely tailored false edge along the back. The pattern welding is excellent, the construction is surprisingly heavy, and the wooden handle is nice, now that I've cleaned it up and waxed it.The blade quality is excellent, but this is no good as a practical combat ready piece - it's strictly a display/collector/reenactor piece. The blade will need a lot of cleaning - mine was heavy with what felt like cosmoline (as was the handle), and I had to scrub the whole thing clean, then oil the blade and wax the handle before I felt comfortable putting the knife away. The sheath is, like the knife, heavily constructed from thick cowhide leather. I'd make a new one for this knife if I didn't think it'd be a waste of a well built knife sheath (seriously, the sheath could be a blunt weapon all it's own). All in all a beautiful trophy/mantle/display piece and a lovely knife to just look at or handle, and worth the money if that's your thing.

Nice but bigger than expected
I know the dimensions are in the description. Just purchased a 9.5 that was perfect sized. This piece is aAnother amazing one tho. Craftsmanship is solid. I do like the wooden sheath of the smaller one but this leather one is also very well put together. I think after a few years of wear this could be a favorite

Lovely knife..
It is aesthetically pleasing and goes well on the belt on my hunting kit, a la Scott. Unfortunately it is way too big to call a sc justan deu. I would buy these smaller knives for my formal kilt kit if it was six inches long and fit for carrying in hose and garter.

Exactly what I needed it to be
Perfect!

I like it!
I was surprised at the quality for the price. The knife itself is well made. Not just a costume accessory. The blade isn't the finest detailed Damascus, but it's pretty nice, and came with a sharpened edge. The sheath is well made top grain leather.

Nice Addition To My Colection
Well made and nice looking piece. Just honestly wondering if this really is genuine damascus steel.
