High quality brush
I didn't want to love this brush, but ugh I do! It's the perfect size, the wood is smooth, bristles are metal and very easy to work through dogs fur. We have a Pomeranian and a bichon mix and both love getting brushed with this! Our Pom has fairly thick fur, and she loves laying out so I can brush her now! Part of me does wish it had one of the push buttons to remove the fur, because it does get a lot of build up as you brush, but it doesn't seem tk stick to the brush so it's easy to pull off. Overall, it's expensive but I do think the cost is worth the quality here, it works great and gets off so much fur!

BEST DOG BRUSH EVER!
This dog brush works better than all the slickers on the market for brushing your dog and removing excess hair. Plus, the bristles don’t hurt your dog’s skin! Seriously, the bristles are not hard and prickly like slickers are. My newly rescued and adopted big Collie hated being brush, so I searched for a gentler type brush, but one that would still work well. Wish I had this brush years ago for all my other dogs I always groomed. This brush is very well made in every way. It’s strong and durable for years of brushing, and the bristles are superb! My new rescue Collie now lets me brush him for 30+ minutes without hating it anymore. Best brush on the market and worth every cent!

The length of the pins are the key.
Ok I was skeptical but I read the review that said to brush your fore arm with this brush 10 times and then brush your arm 10 times with your current cheap, off the rack, dog brush and I cannot believe the difference. This brush is rigid and strong but the tips are smoothed out so that they gently contact the skin below the hair. I have a GIANT 80lb Rough Collie that has a very dense undercoat. We were having lots of trouble brushing him. He hated it and would squirm around. We had to do it fast while he was eating and never got it all the way done. With this brush, he lays on his side and lets me brush him all the way. He's never been this easy. We wrote his name on the brush so we can take it with him to drop off at the groomer. May as well make their life easier also! THE MAIN BENEFIT of this brush is the LENGTH of the pins and the smooth finish of the ends of the pins. They reach all the way through both layers and they untangle his hair without a fight. This point cannot be overlooked. For a dog with a double rough coat, you have to be able to get through both layers! He likes getting his hair brushed now. After he's all brushed out, we can move ahead to a rake brush to pull out loose undercoat much more easily because there's way less tangles in the top coat. I had kept telling my husband we needed a pin brush with tougher, deeper pins and I found one!! Yes it's expensive but it's a really excellent brush and worth it!!! You'll immediately notice a difference both in the hair and in the willingness of your pet to be brushed. We also have 2 small yorkies. One has long hair. We use this brush on them as well because of the effectiveness but more refined pins. So it's good for all dogs but especially for double coats.

🐾 Hi, I’m PVD; glam house pup, brushing compliance strategist, and lifelong Chris Christensen connoisseur. This Oval Pin Brush (20 mm) is the grooming equivalent of a luxury spa robe; soft, elegant, and unexpectedly calming. The stainless steel pins are polished smoother than my entrance at brunch, gliding through my coat like satin on polished marble. No pulling, no static; just silent approval as I descend into brush-induced tranquility. Yes, I nap mid-session. Zen-at-the-spa energy. ⭐ Why it remains a 5 star staple in my daily beauty lineup: ✔️ Lightweight & ergonomic; made for precision brushing (and dramatic appearances) ✔️ Pin tips are so smooth they might be insured ✔️ Ideal for maintaining long, silky, show-type coats ✔️ Reduces static and distributes natural oils for soft, healthy shine ✔️ Pairs flawlessly with Ice on Ice finishing spray for glass hair runway level results 🎞️ Performance Metrics: 📌 Brushing resistance: 14% lower with this in hand 📌 Coat finish: refined, glossy, “I might be royalty” confirmed 📌 Relaxation: fully blissed out meditation 📌 Compliments per outing: minimum 5 📌 Mother’s stress post-brush: down 78% 🪄 But here’s where the couture moment escalates… For daily luxury and post-bath smoothing, this brush is indispensable. But my coat (and standards) have grown in volume and dramatic complexity… it’s time for a new era to begin. 🖋️ Based on Chris Christensen’s expert recommendation: ➡️ Karben Slicker Brush (Small); for gently lifting & separating tangles without drama ➡️ 006 Buttercomb; for detail work around face, legs & ears (aka glamour zones) 📝 Final Re-Barks: The Oval Pin Brush is foundational luxury. But for those stepping into full editorial coat management, pairing it with the Karben Slicker Brush and 006 Buttercomb is the grooming equivalent of moving from daywear to couture. The rounded metal teeth work well. A big plus for comfortable grooming.
This is a very good every daybrush for dogs with long hair and undercoats. It is easy to use and detangles very well without annoying my dogs. I love the rounded tips. They actually look forward to it. The brush I ordered came with one spike missing. I did not return it because it still worked fine. We will see how long it takes for the teeth to degrade or fall out. Fingers crossed.

best brush for you and your dog
it is an excellent brush i actually use one of them for myself it is actually the only brush i ever found which has no knobs on the end which is great since it does not damage the hair i used to give one brush to each of my new puppy owners ( Bernese Mountain Dogs)

Best dog brush ever for long double coated fur
Nest brush ever for long haired double coated dog like Sheltie. Very effective at removing extra hair. My dog used to hate getting brushed now I think because of the long rounded pins that don’t scratch she loves it.

Bought this brush for my samoyed and it's doing wonders. I was sceptical and the price seemed high for a bruah but I'm pretty pleased with it. Recommend it for thick coat dogs.

I read so many review on this brush before buying and I thought to myself can this really be a game changer for dog brushing? No word of a lie, IT IS!!! It is the BEST brush I have ever used for my 9 lb. Maltese. The brush glides through the hair smoothly. I used to use a comb and he would fight me, especially around his paws. Now he just stands there, I can brush his paws without any fuss and he actually seems to like it. I started out by brushing first then running a comb through. The comb isn’t even necessary because the pins on the bristles goes right to the skin. The pins have a rounded edge so it’s actually soothing on the dog’s skin. I never thought I would spend that much on a brush for my dog but I have NO regrets. If you can only have one brush, this would be it.
