PILOT Namiki IC100 Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges, Blue, 12-Pack (69101)

Excellent ink cartridge for fountain pen. New style - easy fit for my PILOT Kakuno Fountain Pen. [and others.] The ink flows well, dries reasonably fast. I use that pen for writing and for art work. These cartridge are very reasonably priced too.

Excellent ink; packaging as described; works well with pilot pen

I bought this product when I purchased a Pilot fountain pen and have no complaints. Two boxes, black and blue, have lasted me almost a whole year with long and short stretches of use. It is fountain pen ink making it vulnerable to smearing if it gets wet, but it will color your fingers for a day or two. I plan on buying more in the near future as the design is sleek to carry while traveling, plus it won't leak all over, and at the same time its the easiest refill cartridge I've experienced. Others I've used before were often difficult to open when inserting into the pen and became blocked while using or after the pen hadn't been used for a day or two. After using these cartridges and the pilot pen I couldn't be happier.

This blue is not quite as dark as I thought or wanted for it to be but it is a good blue anyway. Next time I think I'll try the blue-black in order to get the contrast that I wanted (for writing to older relatives who need strong contrast in order to read) . It fits the Pilot Metropolitan pen just the way it supposed to do.

Got a 12 pack of these and a 12 of the Namiki black for my Pilot Metropolitan. Great ink. Nice color, good flow, dries fast, no complaints. Very satisfied. Tip: You can carry a cartridge inside of a hollowed out chapstick for portability. I take mine to school, so its nice to always have a spare in my bag without fear of it breaking. Once the chapstick is empty, all you have to do is cut the little rod that sticks up on the inside to create space for the cartridge. You can either pull the bottom out and cut it with a pair of scissors or try to cut it with something while its on the inside.

I’m a fan of pilot pens and while many might frown on the non-standard cartridge refill, Pilot inks don’t dry out as quickly if you don’t use your pen every day or write fast, and Pilot pens do not leak their ink as easily as others. I’m also pleased with the color, I’m a big fan of blue/black. I’ve ordered blue, and we’ll, it’s a blue, and it’s a lovely shade that dries quickly on paper and flows smoothly and evenly. These cartridges also stand he test of time where others evaporate over the years. (Pictured- Waterman Red, Diamine Maroon and Pilot Red all purchased about 6-8 years ago for reference)

Neat and complete package of ink cartridges. Easy to install and reliable too, providing smooth flow. The only thing that puzzled me is the way that the refill bladder device had to be removed so I could employ the cartridge. It seemed strange that this part of the instructions (as to how to remove the bladder device) did not alert me that it would sound like it was breaking when it is twisted out of place. However installing the cartridge and making the pen functional seemed to go Okay. I have not yet tried to reinstall the bladder device and load it with ink, but when I do I am hopeful that it will not leak, but we shall see.

It works as expected. Not much to say, it is a quality product, no issues with vendor or delivery.
