I am a huge Ralph steadman fan and this book is such a cool conversation piece. I leave it on my coffee table and everyone flips through it. It’s a must for any Ralph or HST fan.

Good condition and great art!

Well, what can I say - I love Ralph Steadman's honest window view and brutal take on the worlds he visits - running them through his fractured fractaled kaleidoscopic mind. Entertaining and brilliant.

Great book. Not just art. Lots of entertaining stories. Ralph also details the planting and maintenance of his first vineyard in England.

I bought this as a gift. There was a little wear and tear, as described, but the book was everything I'd imagined. Ralph Steadman drawings and wine? Sold.

A great read with a wine or two, however, too much Steadman isn't good for you!

disappointed it had inscription inside it

had to buy several of these to hand out as research material to colleagues. you wont learn much about wine from them in the conventional sense, but they are humerous and sometimes surprisingly beautiful as Ralph Steadman is surely an innovative and masterly artist. this is just a coffee table book, but purchased 2nd hand for very little, it represents a bargain. british art and humour through and through from the man who helped make "fear and loathing in las vegas" a cult classic back in the 1960's. buy one for fun. can recommend. 8/10

After reading this book, with its emotive cartoons, I keep wondering why I had not heard of Ralph Steadman before. The book's literary contents will not appeal to everyone, at least his style of writing, but it did appeal to me. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and lived his peregrinations through countless bottles of wine in the various countries he visited. I wish that I could follow his route, and taste his wines, but alas, the book was published in 1992 and most of the wines have long since been drunk - and I'm now too old to repeat his epicurian tour-de-force!

The book arrived in time and it's perfect!

I've been informed by the friend that I bought this book for, that there are about 10 pages missing and some bits cut out. I flicked through it briefly and saw no problems I clearly missed this. He lives a long way away and it's too much hassle to have him send if back to me then return it for a refund so i guess he'll have to live with it A real shame.

ラルフ・ステッドマンは一見危ない系だが、うんちくが深く、腹の底に落ちる絵と文章の描写がある。この本自体結構読んで、見て結構いたんだので、2冊目をアマゾンで買ったほどだ。自称かなりのワイン通だと思っている人は読んでもらいたいものだ。内容的にはちょっと古くなったが、それでも飽きない絵が良い。
