A great knife at a reasonable price
I’m a firefighter/paramedic and I carry a knife everyday. This model has recently become my go to. I have preferred kershaw for years due to the decent quality for a low price. I’m not worried about having to abuse it if I need to. It holds its edge pretty well, and is easy to sharpen. I have also always been a fan of the assisted opening feature. They always open smoothly and consistently into the locked position. And it doesn’t open until you to intend for it to. My favorite feature has become the pocket clip. Having lost several knives due to bent clips, I love the wide clip on this thing. It doesn’t get caught as often, and it would be really difficult to bend it. It also catches your pocket really easily when you put it away. I have also noticed less wear on my pocket as the force is distributed better. You’re also able to move it to better suit your preference. Whether you use a knife everyday or have never carried one, I can’t recommend this model enough. It’s reliable, packed with features without being overly complicated, and it doesn’t break the bank.

Simply the Best
Best knife I've ever owned in over 35 years of owning pocket knives. Period. If you must know more than that, here it is: I was a Gerber knife fan for years, but I realize now that I just didn't know any better. Several years ago, my girlfriend bought me a Kershaw folding knife with a built-in driver with #1 and #2 flat and phillips drill bits. It was cheap, but it was utilitarian and served it's purpose. It was a $10 sale item at W@L-M@rt that she had put in my stocking for Xmas. Anyway, it quickly replaced my Gerber because the thing was razor sharp out of the box and held it's edge much longer than the Gerber I was always having to sharpen. Anyway, the belt clip on the cheap Kershaw was coming loose after a couple of years of regular use (still not bad for $10!) so I started searching for a replacement, a Kershaw of course, and I found this Kershaw 1605CKTST Clash Folding Knife with SpeedSafe (2-Step Serration) on Amazon...I always buy a knife with a partially serrated blade because it makes the knife much more versatile for different cutting needs. This thing has not disappointed. The SpeedSafe open assist is amazing! It opens lightning fast with the push of the very well placed flipper, located on the back spine of the knife. Works MUCH better than the little knob that most "quick opening" knifes have on the blade itself. Like I said, it holds an edge better than (pretty much) any knife I have ever owned, especially for the $30 I paid for it. It is easy to sharpen. I use the Smith's PP1 Pocket Pal Multifunction Sharpener that I bought here on AMazon. It was cheap and gets the job done, and has the taped diamond rod for sharpening the serrations. It has a decent weight to it, and feels like a quality product. The belt clip works great, and has never loosened on me. I carry this knife with me EVERYWHERE that I go (except airports of course) and use the clip on the front left pocket of my jeans, even when riding my motorcycle. I can't imagine life without my Kershaw Clash. I use it every day and it has yet to let me down. If I ever lose it (I HAVE actually lost it once already, but had another on the way using Amazon Prime that SAME day!) I would buy another without hesitation. I cannot recommend this knife enough to those of you in the market for one. BUY IT.

My Favorite Knife!
This is my go-to knife. With this price point, I have purchased them many times. The knife is great quality, smooth, and durable. It has a great grip, and with it's spring loaded opening, one flick, the knife opens really quickly. The blade is very stiff, locks into place with ease. As a female looking for basic protection, this knife is suitable for everyday carry.

Not as expected, still great.
I like this blade plenty, don't get me wrong- I'm a fan of Kershaw in general. However I'm not sure if I simply misread the product info or if the info provided was inaccurate, but this blade is the first one I've owned from Kershaw without a thumb stud, which I was expecting it to have. The motion in the assisted open is very smooth, it has an evenly distributed hefty weight to it & the blade is solid in addition to being very sharp (plus lifetime free sharpening is a huge plus for Kershaw blades), but I'd be remiss if I didn't say that I'm not such a huge fan of the flip opener only design- I miss having the thumb stud for better control/stronger blade stop reasons, but aside from that minor detail, it's definitely a robust, great everyday carry blade & the repositionable carry clip is also a real useful feature. Overall feel it's worth the money, is of food quality & looks nice too.

This is an awesome, beautiful, well designed EDC "clip-pocket" knife. Wear it properly & you won't hurt yourself.
Possibly the best pocket knife I have ever owned. Perfect for an EDC.....just be sure you use the clip and don't put it fully down in your pocket. You could end up hurting yourself. No seriously. Read on. The SpeedSafe Assisted Opening mechanism is sweeeeeet. However, I could see this causing accidental openings (& injury) if you put it down in your pocket, so don't do that. This knife is DESIGNED to use the clip to attach to your pocket. This is specifically to prevent accidental opening and injury. So please, just use this one like it is designed to be used and be safe. If you want a knife to insert way down deep in your pocket, get one without a speed-assisted opening mechanism. BC I'm telling you now, this thing is beyond razor sharp. Holds it's edge very well too, and comes with lifetime free sharpening from the Mfg. But you don't want to chance this baby opening without your permission while way down in your pocket, down near....vital areas. Just don't do it. The knife comes with an instruction sheet. PLEASE read it before you toss it. Honestly, don't be that guy (or gal) who thinks he knows everything and ends up slicing something important simply bc you are an idiot. My mother loves a good pocket knife to keep in her car console and one in her purse. I would not buy this for her to keep in for either of those places. I would buy her one without assisted opening. Any knife with assisted opening will be extremely dangerous to have laying deep in a pocket or purse, simply bc they can and at some point, will open. So when you reach in for the knife, you will eventually find an open and very sharp blade. So again, don't do that. don't buy this knife unless you will be smart and carry it wisely & safely. I made a little "pocket" on the inside wall of my car's middle console, just big enough to slip this into and keep it from accidentally opening. Having a good sharp utility knife around is always a good idea. This knife is perfect for my needs and has been used several times a week for one thing or another. And don't knock this product for being designed the way it is. Honestly, you have so many great EDC pocket knife options, each one designed for a different use and purpose. This one is designed to be worn a certain way, and it works very well....as long as you have a few live brain cells and actually use them. So get it, use it CORRECTLY, and love it. This is an awesome, beautiful, well designed EDC clip-pocket knife.

Great budget EDC knife
For just a standard EDC knife this Kershaw works great. I do own some have Spyderco, Benchmade, Petrified Fish, etc as well and they’re all great as well but for the price point, the budget Kershaw knives haven’t let me down. I tend to use these a bit more since I have a bad habit of misplacing them at work. Build quality is solid and the added serrated portion is great for cutting particular material at work. Smooth flipper action and the 3” blade is perfect since my local laws prohibit anything longer.
