Star 6" Horsehair Dauber Polish Silver

These have been a great tool for me and a great buy. I own a good number of dress shoes of varying styles and qualities, and like to keep them looking nice. These brushes have been an important part of my shoe-cleaning routine for the past two years. Even though they are not expensive, they punch above their weight. The hairs on the brushes are soft, and have maintained their softness over the last two years. The hair shedding on the brushes has been minimal, and even today they look like they contain the same number of bristles as when I bought them. The handle has kept well as well, and the feel in the hand is soft and smooth even to this day. If you have dress shoes, or even different styles of shoes, and want to keep them clean, you will not go wrong with these brushes.

Perfect. Couldn’t be better for the application of boot/shoe creme (which is not waxy polish). The brush works the oil based creme into the leather, rather than just wiping it on. Hey, I never thought I could get exited about polishing my shoes, right? Well, I’m not, but it works very well. Fine product.

Well made and fairly soft bristles that really do a great job putting the polish on shoes. Just get one for each different color polish you use, don't mix them. I label mine so it is easy to tell what color I used them for.

It sheds, especially over the first use, but this is to be expected. I tired several other daubers and this one has the highest build quality and sheds the least.

The horse hair gets into the seams and folds for a good even polish coat. If you use a good polish brush you will never use one of the foam daubers again.

I have recently gotten into shining shoes as my new hobby. I have spent a lot of time on the internet researching the best way to shine shoes, the best cream polishes, wax polishes, leather rejuvenation oils, etc. The one thing I did not do was research on the horsehair brush. Shame on me. However, now the search begins as this product is not going to cut it. I purchased 3 of these brushes (for brown, black and neutral shoes) and they are awful. All the hair falls off the brush and makes a complete mess. Hair from the brush sticks to the shoes as you are applying the cream based polish. Now I am finding hairs all around our house that have fallen off the brush - there are hairs on our floor, hairs on the table, I even found a rogue hair on my iPad. Once I find a good brush, I will let everyone know. The one thing I do know is that this is not a good one. Sorry, Star.

Got these to replace my worn out brushes and they are great. Well made and I like the three pack. One for black, one for brown, and one for neutral. Seem like well made brushes.

Even though I know it was one brush, the image is deceiving......it is obvious they are trying to make you think this is 3 brushes. It is unnecessary to show the image of 3 brushes as the thumbnail. Just not good business IMHO. It is smaller than I expected and the bristles started falling out during the first use, but maybe that will stop.........it is OK.
