amazing little card for sure
plug it to my macpro 17 2011 expresspcie 34 port and using popOS and watched this little card fly! throughput was great and held steady for hrs as I transferred 5gb of data from a usb 3.1 gen 2 drive. recommended for sure for sata III speeds!

Works, but does not run at SATA-III speed
Pros:- Works with Linux.- Works with Spinrite.- Bootable.- Seems stable.- Uses SATA-III protocol so you get some of the non-speed benefits that it has over SATA-II that most adapters like this use.Cons:- Does NOT run at SATA-III speed. Really, though, nothing running over ExpressCard ever will as it maxes out at 2.5Gbit/s which is even below SATA-II max speed of 3.0Gbit/s so anything advertising SATA-III through ExpressCard will never acheive the promised 6.0Gbps speeds of SATA-III.- I ordered new and received an open package return. Returned it as I paid full new price, and received as a replacement ANOTHER open package. I'm contemplating returning it and just not getting a replacement as really it's no faster than the e-sata port on my laptop anyway.

Works with Mac OS High Sierra
Can confirm - works with no drama in my early 2008 MacBook Pro, even under my unsupported High Sierra install.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
It's an ExpressCard SATA interface. Works fine with port multipliers, is fast, and stable. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that there are some eSATA cables that don't fit into the port on this thing, but fit fine into other ports. Other than that, it's great.

May not work on your computer
I’m sure ot was or is a good product but it does not work on my Mackbook pro, there are no drivers or updates!I have other Expresscards that do work but not this one, research carefully before you buy

Works well
Works as expected (in a MacBook Pro 17" early 2009), no need for any extra software.

A product works as intended to.
Not much different for eSATA but sometimes needed to use the connection.
