Yankee Hill Machine Rail Extension, 6" (YHM-9473)

This is a very solid rail extension with steel screws. You may be thinking, it's just a piece of aluminum, so why pay more? All aluminum and anodizing is not the same! You can take the cheap rails and fold them in half with your hands(I have some cheap ones too). This is the good stuff, and the anodizing is rock hard. This is a rail extension that will last you years and not be easily damaged.I also like the fact that both sides are the same where it clamps to the rail, so it won't can't to one side or the other. Very well made.

I used this mount with Weaver Tactical rings to mount my Hi-Lux XTC4x34 scope on my high power service rifle. Really does a nice job. It is a high quality cost effective solution if you don't want the expensive Reaper and Geissele mounts which are superb, but this really a good setup that is made in America.

I have a Sig RDS that's been mounted on a Monstrum picatinny rail on a Mossberg 500. It has been flawless for a few hundred rounds of buck and bird.I tried this out so I could experiment with different sling mount locations.The machining tolerances for the screw diameter is poor. There is visible light through the holes, when they are tightened down on the rail. I tried 4 different locations on the existing Monstrum pic rail. It doesn't matter where I tried, there is still a significant wobble/jiggle.This Yankee Hill Machine 6" rail extension is literally useless

Quality product, I had to return mine because my picatinny rail extension had a slight rise that interfered with my barrel.

I installed a small scope on my rifle. I couldn't get the proper eye relief. This extension worked perfect.
